Laboratory - how do I finish this?

[Post New]by eriknorcal on Nov 27, 08 7:58 AM
I'm stuck in the laboratory. I've assembled the bottle, the lighter, and the other thing, but now I can't figure out what to do with them. Picked up the other thing (what is it?) and couldn't put it down or use it anywhere, so each time I restart, I have to put the pieces back together. Help

I find it physically impossible to put the thirty items back in the library in the given time. Ihave turned off the sound but still can only get down to three items left. Surely there must be a way to advance in the game without completing this task?

Quite a number of people have been having trouble with this. Hopefully they will release an updated build, that corrects this

Glad to see I am not the only one having trouble w/this game. Took 5-6 tries to get through the library 30 items. VERY irritating! Turned it off when I got to the green wiring. Just too much to do & not enough time--definitely needed to have a relaxed mode. Nameplater

Being older the Relaxed Mode is very important to me, when timed I get in a hurry to make sure I beat the clock and end up not doing well at all, so maybe they will add Relaxed to this one

Hi! If you do not want to repeat the whole section when your time runs out for placing objects, try clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner of the screen that asks if you want to try again instead of picking "Yes" or "No". Then when you log back into the game it will take you right to the same place.

Also, thank you for the hint on using the statues for the balance. I really felt foolish for not seeing that. I am new to forums, but I really like them.

If your having problems with putting items back, try starting with the last of the 3 items. Always stay with the bottom one until you end up with 2 then 1.
Can someone help me with the toothbrush, light, and the key? I have the toothbrush, but I'm missing one part of the light and one part of the key. I keep pushing help, but it just shines on the desk by the photo.
Thanks

I hope everyone who cannot do the 30 items in 59 seconds complains. Then we might get an untimed game or at least a realistic time to complete the task.

BLENN wrote:As I love Hidden object games I downloaded Detective Stories: Hollywood this morning. Everything was black and I was playing the game without being able to see the screen because I wanted to try and see if it installed and just wasn't coming through on by computer or if it didn't download at all. So I clicked and got the X's as wrong guess but I couldn't see the screen to look for objects needed. Is there anything I could do to fix this problem?
Thanks

Hi Sundae19- welcome to the forums

The missing cursor is an issue for tech support. It's probably something minor like updating your video card and mouse drivers..

This is the most annoying game I have ever played, I also had trouble placing items in their correct place within the 60 second time restriction. I tried for 3 days and finally accomplished the task only to have the same puzzle repeated with different objects. I was so mad I uninsalled the game. You should be able to skip this part as it only proves how fast you can move the mouse.
