I couldn't play the other NDs. My video card or something isn't new enough, but I'm enjoying this one. The dang mini games, especially the smoothy one are soo annoying and frustrating. Just putting in my

I agree; the smoothie game was very annoying. I kept breaking glasses, until I caught on that I had to see the "shadow" of the ingredient before dropping it in the glass. There was no way to skip the game, and I couldn't move on until I solved it. It took me SEVERAL times to finally get through it.

I don't mind the matching "Concentration" type game; I'm pretty good at those, because you don't have to be a quick clicker with the mouse. These old fingers are not very fast. But now I am stuck on decoding the Pharaoh poster. Help?

I am a big ND fan but i much prefer the original adventure games... They're more challenging and just more interesting all round... i hope making the Dossier games won't slow them down on making the adventure games

I think it's great for us die-hard Drew fans to have another series to keep our sluething skill s honed in till the adventure game comes around!

I hated hated this version. Please tell me they are making more Nancy Drew games the NORMAL way??? I was sooo disappointed I paid for this game. It was way too easy and sooo boring compared to the real Nancy Drew adventures.

yuk, I just wasted my game credit for this junk!!! I have all the Nancy Drew games and loved playing them (even though had to use many cheats, walkthroughs) This was so cheezy!! the graphics and game interaction was so lame. I bought the game after reading the forum feedbacks. The reviews were about 50/50, but I thought, its ND can't be that bad? Boy was I wrong! Do not like the format of clicking on top of clues to match up things! Boring is what I think, and graphics leave alot to be desired. I must admit, I knew (from reviews) that it was not like other ND series, but, I thought..... can't be that bad. Yuk, oh well, just have to chalk it up as another bad choice. I'm not happy that they did not run a demo. Guess if they did, no one would "bite" . Sorry BF dropped the ball on this one. Have been a loyal fan for over 2 years. Win some, lose some I guess. Bring back the real deal with ND series!!!

Happy gaming all

Thanks prpldva! Okay, I finished playing ND dossier. I know I "crabbed" about it in earlier posts, but I must "reluctantly" admit I was wrong. I found it okay after all. Once I gave into the fact that it wasn't the same as other ND series, I settled in and played. I however, now am totally obsessed with getting through the last detective level in order to play the other ending that they described!!! I thought I was doing so well the second time through, but I guess you have to be perfect in all the games and questioning to get the additional ending sequence? Was sooooo close on second go around! I admit, I jumped the gun on the critique of this game. Once you get into it, it isn't half bad! My sincere apoligies to BF/ND. Give it a try all, it takes awhile to adjust, but it was worth it after all.

Happy gaming all, cheers & happy holidays to all

I agree! While it was very different from them regular adventure game. I still really enjoyed it. It still had the point and click feel, but not as difficult.

I don't remember any bats in this game but there are some crows. There is a topic that talks about the locations of the crows if that is what you need help with. The topic title is: Here is the location of Crows and their matching items
This is a link you can copy and paste to go to that topic.

Good luck with the game!

I finished this game a few days ago. I enjoyed it and will probably buy another if one comes out, but it is nothing like the long ND games and I don't imagine it is supposed to be. It's a lot easier and sometimes it's nice to play through a less challenging game.

Hi Dollyflower- welcome to the forums!

I agree with you 100%! I am a huge fan of the adventure series, but really enjoyed this one too.

Except for RTR, this is one of the better HO games as far as I'm concerned. Of course I like the Nancy Drew "adventure" games better, in fact way better. I have all the other ND games, about 10 I think, that BF has offered, and I'm ready for another one, so long as they fix the glitches first. I went through a lot of hassle just to get the Phantom of Venice up and running, but it was worth it, but not as exciting as let's say, Last Train to Moon Canyon or ghost dogs of icicle creek. I'm holding out for these types of games.

I really enjoy mystery games, Like Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and Nancy Drew. The HO games are getting rather tidious, you play one, and you basically play them all.
Well, that's my opinion anyway.

This is the first one I could finish! Give me some easier ones to learn on. I've bought 3 others and can't finish them, which is very frustrating. When I finally learn her techniques, then I can go back and finish them. I hope
