yap, you need the metal thing which is on the table in the library... something looks round and black... than you can turn on the film projector..
for kimyane, the record is not for the gramophone, it is for the film projector.. if you have broke the window, you can go once again to the cottage on the right door to do the domino puzzle..
No... The film reel is for the projector. The record is for the gramophone. I agree with Kimyane however, the record is purely a story element, it seems to have absolutely no use in solving the game. I thought perhaps you could reverse the gramophone and hear a message, as I also thought it sounded like a backwards recording. You can't.
To operate the film projector you need both a film reel and a knob for the on/off switch.

You had to go back up the rope where you were stashed by Victor- it was in the pram.

Whoa, now you've got me wondering: I just went through the second time and totally omitted the record with no problem. Your implication is that the record is the sound track for the film?? Well call me clicky - don't tell me I have to play the game again! LOL

You don't have to know how to play dominoes to solve the puzzle lock. You just have to be able to match the dominoe with a pair of dice. It's sort of the same theory behind suduko.

LindaMS wrote:I just popped over here to see if anyone had solved the "backwards speech" yet. It looks to me like this is a reference to the old urban legend that rock and roll artists were hiding invocations to Satan on their albums by recording them backward. Anyone have the ability to capture the recording and actually play it backwards? I'd love to know what it's saying, but have no way of doing that.
I was wondering the same thing myself. Hoped someone more tech savvy than me could figure it out. Is it a clue to the next game (hopefully)?

for example, you will see 2 pair with no dot and one dot, it means 0-1, now you need to close the big board with 0-1 dot, the tricky part is that there will be many 0-1 dot, either it vertically or horizontally..
so, find the piece that can be closed on the center board which only has spot.. the obvious one is the 0-0 dot in the middle...maybe starting from there can lead you to the next domino spot..^^
happy gaming n good luck..^^

Cricket . . . have you been upstairs in the cottage? Somewhere (I think it is just up those stairs) is a framed document (you will need your damp rag to wipe it off) and that has the answer to the lock you are working on.
