How in the world is this game the soft release for today? I'm telling you Alawar rocks my whole world. I love the Farm Frenzy games, their hidden object games, you name it. Definite buy for me. I think it's neat that this one is Vikings, different items to do and such plus a standard game mode but then also an adventure mode. Great job Alawar!!!

just finished playing the demo and wont be buying this one cause like so many have said before me you spend more time waiting for the screen to load before and after every level and acheivement then actual game play

I have all the Farm Frenzy games and like them all. It's nice to have a new theme and a new character. Viking Heroes has great graphics! Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

But I don't like the slow load: the viking peddling his balloon machine is cute the first few times, but I now have a burning desire to stick a pin in his balloon; irritating, although I understand that this is the price I pay for the enhanced graphics.

And I don't like that the pick up area is soooooo small. I have arthritic hands and I'm slow enough as it is, without having to highlight a wee little tiny area in order to pick up the items; frustrating. Maybe they should make a Farm Frenzy: Old Age Farm for those of us who are slower and older than the usual player: pick up the hospital bed the old folks leave behind, process it into a walker, then process the walker into a cane.

I really enjoyed it though the loading time drove me nuts and the time frames were way easier than any other version of FF. I got gold on all 172 levels and often with almost half the time to spare. Wasn't able to win 3 of the awards: having the maximum variety of products on the field, purchasing the maximum amount of goods and selling stones and wood to complete a level. I tried and if anyone wins any of those 3 awards I'd love to know how .

The graphics are phenomenal. I have loved all the FF games except "Gone Fishing". The scenery in this game is really great and has a lot of variety.

I agree with what everyone said about the loading time between levels YIKES.........

I was just able to win 2 of the 3 awards I had been missing, by replaying level 56. Now I only have one award to win for selling wood and stone to complete a level. I will definitely buy future FF games.

well, i pretty much got my **** kicked by bears while playing the adventure mode... got to one level when they just... kept... coming! and the only way i could do anything was to pretty much let them go because i didn't have a speed boat or a warehouse the size of texas in fact, i couldn't even pick up regular production items even with all the factories running...

this one definitely provides a challenge - and it is different from the other games... the animals and their production capabilities, the fact that you're refining ore into steel and firing steel into swords... and, hey, they're vikings! and i did like that you can play regular same ol' or the new adventure mode...

just don't think that i'm up for this one right now... maybe i'll save it for another day

This will probably sound deeply, deeply sad, but I timed the 'waits'. It took 30s for the game to get to the initial screen where you pick the user, options, etc; 45s to get to the screen to pick the level; 40s to start the level; 20s when you've finished the level. (All times are approximate.) This means you have to wait for 1 minute between finishing one level and starting the next.

Having said all that, this is a definite buy for me. I'm not a total Farm Frenzy fan - I only have 4 of the games and, IMO, some are better than others. Yes, the load times take the edge off this one a little, but it's sufficiently different from the others to be a fun game in its own right.

I give this out of a possible 5

I bought and played every Farm frenzy game, I am glad i just did the try only version. It is slower, almost makes you fall asleep. The other games were much better.

SOOOO TRUE, lots of waiting for screens to load, and I have a fast computer.

It loads quite fast on mine (about 4 secs), I have quad core and 8 GB of RAM. Sometimes I've read about slow loading on other games here too, I think getting more RAM may solve this issue

I like the game and used my credit on it, but I wish there was some Help somewhere. On level 6 I'm supposed to upgrade the boars, but I don't understand how. I have hats and I upgraded the training hut...what am I missing?

Also the long load time drives me crazy; I try to kick his **** to get him moving faster.

This is a Great Game for anyone who likes TM/Stradegy games because you certainly get your money's worth with 172 levels.

To say that this is just like all the other FF games is like saying all Hidden Object games are the same because all you do is Find Stuff or that all Match 3 games are the same cause all you do is Match items.

The only things I would have changed on this one is that:

1 when you want to replay a level its saved in such a way that you have to scroll down to get to it. If this were changed to Reverse order it would make it much easier.

2. I wish you could replay the story from beginning to end if you wanted to after you finished the game

3. I wish the story had narration like My Kingdom games .

Love it!!

Okay I finally played the demo. I must say I own all the FF games and love all of them. I'm a TM person who hates HOGs with a passion (including the ones slipped into TMs various forms. So I was excited about FF coming out. But the reviews gave me pause until I actually played.

1) The load time may be slightly longer, but to be honest I really didn't notice it that much. I play on a two year old laptop with about 4 gigs of ram, but I also have a good graphics card with additional ram. I bought it with Sims 3 in mind. So either that was sufficient or it just doesn't bug me as much when I get to play one of my favorite game series.

2) I love the new twist on the predators although it does appear really easy to raise cash and get through the game with Best times, at least for me.

3) Looking forward to all the levels (172) and adventure mode. Played standard only.

4) If you like the FF games and your computer can handle it, this is a great game.

It's a buy for me.

I have 8GB of RAM and mine loads fairly well, also. I think the RAM required is higher than what the developer has suggested.

Mine loads really fast in comparison to what I have been reading. 1 whole minute between levels.... that would drive me nuts. Mine loads within seconds, I don't even notice the delay. I just wanted to let the new comers know that not all of us are having problems with the load times. Bummer for those of you that are though. :o)

Yes, I have all the other FF games and this one sucks.

I hate the Viking guy after just the demo--can we turn him off?

I own every Farm Frenzy game made and I play and replay them all the time. This one, however, doesn't meet the usual standards. It's a very slow moving game. I don't like the new shopping method of getting upgrades and perhaps the worst thing about it is the fact that while I'm playing a level I cannot possibly make the machines go faster because the requirements to upgrade are not included in that particular level. Example, it takes $2,000 plus a brick (or stone) to upgrade and that level doesn't offer me access to the bricks (or stones). However, I do love the helmet feature which allows me to protect my animals from the predators and in addition raises the value of the animals. But otherwise, this one falls far short of the others. It won't be one that I play repeatedly.
