Whew! Just finished it, I originally got stuck on level four, started over, and made it to the last puzzle on level 8. It was kicking my hiney! I refocused on what my goal was, and it helped to have a lot of lives left. There is hope at the end of the tunnel, my friends, this was well worth the money spent. I am going to give myself a day or so off, and I am doing it again!

These people who say they just won are either lying or they got a whole different game then I got. I have never been able to collect more than 3 lives tops. On Lev. 6, which I have been stuck on for the last 6 months and I play every single day, I can collect up to a whopping 2 shovels, 2 hammers, 1 hour glasses and 2 teapots--and that's only if I can get those to the bottom of the square in time. When I use the hour glass to extend my time, it gives me only about 3 seconds (sic) additional time. I've gotten as far as the very last city before bombing out and I've never never never found a way to add on more then the original 3 lives I started that level with. And when I have completed a level and move on to the next one, I lose all my collected tools so I start with nothing but 3 lives in the new level. I do not understand how those other people say you have to collect as many lives as possible when my game doesn't offer that to me. I think the makers of the game need to offer a patch or something which will allow the rest of us a chance at winning.

I got this game for 2.99 and probably wouldn't have purchased it otherwise. My biggest gripe is it's not as visually pleasing as the other Atlantis games. I'm guessing it's just an older one in the series?

Right now I have six lives and all the tools. I'm two levels 'til I finish Egypt. I'm not going to underestimate this game or the possibility of it throwing a wrench at me on some level. If it really bothered me, I just find another game to play that I found more relaxing. If this game is more challenging, then it's good when you're in the mood for that. I like having a variety of games. I have to say I don't find this one as frustrating -as of yet- as others seem to.

Hey, I'm also a "Hon" in Balmer! I am on the 8th (last) level and can get to the last "City", but have never finished it. I play it now and then, but think it can be won.

I started over under another name, keeping my old game, and was surprised how quickly I got to level 6--that's the killer. I agree that you should build up an arsenal of tools.

Lots of luck, and remember, it's only a game.

I wonder if Nocturne was playing a different level of difficulty.
I played the trial on easy and was way beyond Egypt when my time ran out.

I have to agree that this is the hardest of all match 3 games. I am going to post a cheat that arguably could ruin the experience, so if you don't want to know, please exit this post now.

There are two levels in this game that I cannot win in the time alotted. I don't remember the numbers, but I do know that one of them is the last level. I use the cheat on said two levels. I don't like to, but my curiosity got the best of me, and I wanted to see all the levels.

HERE IS THE CHEAT:

anywhere during the play, hold down the CTRL key and the letter w together and watch what happens.

I'm better informed now, having got further.
Egypt I (level 3) is easy, Egypt 2 (level 4) definitely isn't. I have beaten 4.10 though and played Italy (level 5). Carthage (6.1) is my sticking point.
