I have a feeling that a laptop or pc with a (n Intel Express) graphics chipset is going to struggle, or find the game unplayable.
Version 1 of the game dates from 2006 and version 2 from 2008, which might give you an idea of the pcs it was designed to be played on.
hi have just loaded the game and am having trouble with holmes walking just criss crosses the street cant get him to walk straight is this a problem using the mouse how do you change to keyboard or mouse option. is it better in the third person view.

Hi All,
I am a very big fan of large file games, (I own about 50 of them). I really liked the look of "Echo, Secret of the Lost Cavern", however, everyone says it is too short.
I love the Jules Verne games, Nancy Drew, Mystery Case Files and the Poirot mysteries, after reading the comments on the new Sherlock Holmes game I think I will buy it, I tried the last one but it kept freezing up and losing all my progress.
I have since bought a new tower for my computer and all of my games are working amazingly well. I found out that I could not even upgrade my video card as my computer was too old (2004), I think if anyone is having a problem that it is probably the video card.
See ya all in the pond,
Fiona

Having a great time with this game. Only one problem... Outside of warehouse 16, the tarry footprints lead away from the door and into a dark black area. I go in that direction looking for a door that I can open with a key. I very carefully used the footprint icons which led me to a door but nothing happens. I never get the hand cursor so I can use the key on the door. Maybe it isn't the right door? It is the one exactly at the bottom of the bridge. I have been all over the wharf area and there is no door I can open. I have measured the footprints and I got the key.
Please if you know where the door is, you can give me directions?
PLEASE HELP!!!!

I've started again for the fun of it. I'll come back and post here when I get that far.
You have to go down some stairs by the water and ... use the key you found by 16 itself. There's no reason for pitch blackness. I think you need to adjust your set.
