Thanks. I found that out this morning - after about the 10th attempt to have a baby!

"Weak" is not about energy, it's about health. There are several threads in this forum about health and energy, look for topics like "Extremely Weak"...

1. What other scenes? There's only the house.
2. Here, look at all the topics until you see one that is about what you want to know.
3. Welcome!

Welcome
Look at the topics in this forum. There are several steps to putting out fires and they have been written up many times in the forum.

Three ideas here - and this topic is also covered in at least one other thread in this forum, though you might have to page back a few pages to find it:
Keep checking the store for books for "office", "workshop", and/or "kitchen" based on the work your peeps do - buying the book and dropping it on the peep helps them get promotions faster as well as raising a little bit of cash.
Don't buy everything you can afford as soon as you can afford it - instead, save up for upgrades to the work spaces your peeps use. Upgrading the workspace results in faster career advancement. I'd recommend getting the bathroom upgrade, the air purifier, maybe the treadmill - put off the pool, hammock (which, if you're lucky, you might get free from a neighbor anyway), bird feeder, patio furniture, radio, and TV until you have done one upgrade to the workspace.
Only other way to raise money is to sit there with the game and watch the yard for collectibles. Buy the rain-in-a-bottle to see if it brings out the bugs. After collecting one for themselves, the peeps will sell duplicates online - and you get $5 for the common items, more for the uncommon and rare items. One of my families had two low-salary types and I spent a lot of time looking for collectibles at the beginning. If you do this and you're not familiar with the Virtual Villager games, you can scroll quickly around the property by using the numeric keypad (numlock on). You can use the scrolling even when you are dragging a peep around - helps get to those collectibles before they evaporate.
