aah...the mysterious ghost. Maybe she's in the witness protection program? OR maybe she's not human, but alien and lives on the planet Zerg. wouldn't that be something? an alien that plays casual games.

I also do counted cross-stitch. I make Christmas ornaments every year as gifts and I also make myself one to add to my collection. One year I made pillow ornaments with Kanji symbols on them...Faith, Peace, Fate, Wish, Love. I also did one with the symbol for 'daughter' for my daughter. I've done lots of old-fashioned samplers which I love, as well as pictures of wildlife and birds. I love it.

She could be in Germany. I didn't see that on the list. Or, she could be in the US. She said she's not American, not that she's not IN America. Oh, I do love a good mystery.

nanty - I didn't mean to imply that you put down the women at Tricoters - most of them ARE stuck up, especially the two owners. I just wanted to tell you that there were some nice people there, too. But I stopped going there because the prices just got too outrageous and the two owners really catered to the richer clientele - and I mean rich.

I kind of have an idea where ghost lives - but I won't divulge - that's her decision.

For those of you who haven't been up to the Puget Sound area - Seattle - we have many island around the Sound and most of them are heaven. It's really very beautiful here.

When we all get together for the next Zeeby you can see for yourself.

Oh, rentonwa, you didn't imply that. I just reread what I wrote and realized how it sounded. I think we both understand each other!

Ghost - I'm guessing Vancouver Island (which is in Canada, folks). You need a ferry, but for Orcas it's either ferry, private boat, or float plane. I did some chaperone camping on Orcas with a bunch of school kids every September for several years - fond memories. Am I close?

ltlfaeriefnd13 - I've seen those Kanji ornaments in a catalog and I've admired them. I love the samplers too. I have quite a few of them which I haven't gotten to yet.

I would really hope they would do the Zeebys here again - but probably they'll move it around the country. If it were here rentonwa and I could play host to our friends!

I have all sorts of hobbies. I do lots of counted cross stitch but none of the "cutsty" things unless I am asked to by my kids. I make many designs myself and have a good time with that. I also knit and crochet when my hands work. I can only do a little at a time and it gets so frustrating to do a project. I used to do all so many things but the hands say no more.

Gosh, I sure missed all of you

karenplop, good to hear from you again. Sorry you have problems that keep you from enjoying your hobbies. I have some minor issues with my hands and arthritis in the deep joint in my thumbs. One thing I've found that help my thumbs is a hot wax treatment on my hands. I discovered it accidentally when I had a manicure and was given a hot wax treatment and found it helped. My daughter gave me a hot wax machine for Christmas last year and I use it about once a week because it's so helpful. The side benefit: the skin on my hands is wonderfully soft.
...Hope to hear more from you. Happy gaming.

I have one of those machines too. I love it. I use it on my feet too, but need help with that. It does help but then there are times..................

I take so many meds and I have one that I call the happy helper pill. When I take that one, I can do all sorts of things with my hands. The back and other body parts are not as lucky.
