I like both match-3 games and hidden picture games. I started out playing match-3 games first, and was soon hooked on them (I am currently playing Ancient Quest of Saqqarah which combines several match-3 variations, and is a great game!). I find match-3 games very relaxing and they can keep me occupied for hours. I then started playing hidden picture games (starting with the MCF series), which my husband and I now play together. We have great fun with those!

It's hard to choose which of the two types is my favorite.....so I choose both.

Oh yeah, I enjoy both the match 3 and HO games. I appreciate a good puzzle too. Azada is wonderful. I just discovered fishdom and cant wait to purchase it. I have to limit myself... i only have 11 min left. LOL.

I love Puzzle Hero... its tooo cute. But I find the HO allow for more than one person to play at one computer so it gives the HO a bit more fun and interaction.

Honestly nothing beats a good match three pop and cascade!!!!

I like all kinds of games, and there are alot of good match 3 games out there. I really Fishdom, which I can't play enough. One of my other all time favorites is Cradle of Rome.

My favorite game for the last year has been Treasures of Montezuma, which gets really fun the farther you go in it. I highly recommend it! I like mahjongs, puzzles, crime solving and hidden object games, but TOM and Brickshooter Egypt are two of my favorites!

Thanks for all the replies!
Fishdom really seems to be the favorite one. I tried it but was not hooked imediately. I think I still have some "demo time", I will try again, maybe I did not play long enough.

I wish there were more Matching games in Mac World... seems all we see these days are the hidden objects (which I love!), but I miss the fun of the Match 3.

The BEST match game is Women's Murder Club: Death in Scarlet. Casual, fun puzzles, very interactive. I wish I knew more like it.

I love the match three games. They are great for just relaxing and "zoning out" for a while. With a teenager in the house.... I need to do that frequently!! lol

My absolute favorite type of game though are the ones like Westward (1st one only) and all the Virtual Villagers. I wish there were more games of this type offered.

Am I the only Anemone out in this big blue ocean who doesn't like the HO games? Reminds me too much of Where's Waldo. If it were up to me solely to find him....... he would be lost forever.

I am still playing Jewel Quest because it is my absolute favorite Match 3 game. It was the first game I ever bought. My Mom, who is 71, recommended it to me a couple of years ago. We are both still working on it every now and then. I've been all the way through it at least once already and it is still fun and challenging. So many different games, so little time! I'm glad I don't have a job, more time for games.

Don't play them much any more. I did buy Pizza Chef (I think that's the name), and it's a version of a match-three game. Other than that, mostly play the demo's and get bored before the free time is up. Love puzzle games, time management and some of the hidden object games.

Poodlebear,

You might want to try "Ancient Quest of Saqqarah”, that “frozax” mentioned in her post above. It has 7 different styles of Match 3 games in one, divided into 3 difficult levels of 24 levels each in what are called Temples. One of which (Temple of Thot) has nothing but 72 levels of Logic Puzzles. The best thing about the game is that when you start the game you have the option of selecting a “Relaxed Mode” by simply checking a box. Relaxed mode meaning NO Timer at all for ALL of the temples, similar to what you asked for, and got for Azada: Ancient Magic. Very persuasive argument you made this morning!

Both myself and my wife Judy Love the game even though the only other Match 3 games we play are the Jewel Quest series (1 & 2). Judy plays mostly HO games and some Puzzle games, while I like any kind of Puzzle game & most HO games. Thanks for speaking up like you did for the Relaxed Mode for Azada: Ancient Magic. You remind me of someone I know on another Forum, you speak your mind like she does.

Happy Gaming all,
OldMan44

Match 3 are my ultimate favorite!!! I have tried HO games but just didn't really get into them that much...
Some favorite Match 3's:
Magic Match (the 1st & 2nd ones) I love the "linking" way to match instead of swapping
Cradle of Rome & Persia..like the fact you are working towards "building" something
Caribbean Hideaway..fun!

I also love a few Solitaire games & then Burger Island..ugh I totally got addicted to this one!
