For me, I found this game very simple, once I remembered the rules to the old Windows "Minesweeper" game. It works in much the same way. If a tile has a "1" then it can only be touching '1' mine (or, in this case, a circle) - if the tile has a "3" then it will touch 3 mines. Then you just need to remember, in this version, that a tile is actually a block of four squares.

You are so smart and I must be dumb as dirt, cause even tho I read and copies you response to how to arrange the flowers in the tiles, I simply can't and don't understand. Is there a screen shot to help me or can you try again with this dumb dirt person? Thanks so much.

Would someone please help me solve the Secret Garden mini puzzle game I have arrange the tiles as stated in the forum and in the strategy guide. BFG Strategy Guide it is not much help in the secret garden mini puzzles needs better instructions.. There is really not much of an instruction on how to solve the mini puzzle. I know the Strategy guide is not any help if I have to come to the forum to get help. I am not trying to be funny only telling the truth. Can someone please tell me how to solve the mini puzzle game in the Secret Garden Book. BFG can you publish another Strategy Guide with better instructions it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Help! How do I get that Colin out of bed? I restored the garden and tried to give him an apple but he says he doesn't want to go outside!

You need to give Colin his clothes. He'll get dress then give him the apple from the secret garden (the red one) and then don't forget to take off the cloth on the picture once Colin is gone. This is where the card is.

Personally, I found it easier to work through the small numbers first.

If there is a section where there only needs to be 1 object, fill them in first.
Someone said think Minesweeper.

Take for instance a 1. Only one square of the four surrounding the number can have an object in it.

For a 3, 3 of the four need to be filled.

You need to take into account the other numbers that the squares touch.

I hope this helps a little more.

Need help in the garden...everything is done, but there is no red apple after everything is cleaned up. The bush to the left only has green leaves on it, and where the hint circles an area on that green bush, nothing happens when I click on it...am I missing a step, as everything is done in the garden except to get the red apple??!! Thanks, love this game, but have reset it twice to find that elusive red apple! UGH

I got it figured out...went back and changed the way I did things and sure enough, the apple showed up!! Sorry for being a dummy....

I can't find the red apple. I've completed everything and double checked with the Strategy Guide, but no red apple or green apples for that mater to be found. I found the bush on the left-hand side. I clicked on the hint and a circle went around the green bush, but that's about it. I've tried pruning the bush, troweling the bush, but nothing happens. Any ideas?

db7weisner, welcome to the forum. The post immediately above yours is from Nana. She seemed to have the same problem and resolved. If she doesn't post a solution in this thread, you might consider sending her a PM and asking if she would share how she solved it. Good Luck

db, have you planted your seeds and watered them. This will restore the garden and the apples should then show up on the bush on the left. If not, then you may have to reset that book and try again; it might be a glitch. Good luck.

I found the problem. I was playing in the Relaxed mode. I decided to try the game in the timed mode and The Secret Garden worked fine. However, in the Relaxed mode the bush does not turn into beautiful white flowers, nor does the red apple appear.

I played in relaxed and I had no trouble getting the red apple to appear, so I don't know if you might have just had a glitch in your game. But I'm glad you got it working.

Below is a link to a picture that is an additional visual explanation of the Gardening puzzle. Each number is touched by four squares. The number of flowers that can be in those four squares must correspond to the round number itself. For example, if the round number is 1, then only 1 of the four squares that touch the round number 1 can contain flowers. I have marked the four sides that touch each number with colored squares. I have made slightly larger colored squares where the flowers are to be in the solved puzzle.

Hi Kristen- this puzzle is randomly generated, so no one solution. If you have a '1' next to a '3', you know that the the two areas on the far side of the '3' will both be full.
