Left is "MIND" but right is "SOUL." Don't forget to pump the cups really full before trying to hit the gong.

Good luck!

Don't know why my hammer won't ring the bell...the gong thingey will only go up about one fifth of the way. And I can only get the blood pails to go up to CLOSE to the top, not close to overflowing. What am I doing wrong??????? HELP!!

You don't necessarily have to worry about how full the cups are, just as long as the flags on each side you're pumping blood get raised all the way to the top. The easiest way I've found is just to click super fast, a bunch of times...when 1 flag is raised, click the heart on the other side super fast, a bunch of times...and if you do it quick enough...make sure both flags are up top and then click the hammer. It should make it all the way to the top then. Good luck, and hope that helps...

Sorry to be so dumb, but how do you even "pump the hearts"????

I understood enough to change the words, but danged if I can figure out how to pump the hearts! Or anything else in this puzzle. What does the fan do? The barking dog? Etc????

ETA: I figured out how to pump the hearts. I think that's unfair, not to have a hand show up. I clicked on every hand and mostly nothing was done. There was no hand on the hearts or I would have figured out pumping sooner!

Needless attempt to make it harder, I think.

What do you mean, "credits" ?

I agree with you that I don't like these as well as specific assignment puzzles, but they are popular with many people. I found that it was still quite simple to get through the game just by paying the time forfeit and using the telephone most of the time to skip the crystal ball puzzle. Then I stopped and spent more time on the crystal ball puzzles my second time through.

By the way, one tip I found for this specific puzzle--the cups fill up much higher than I thought at first. So keep at it until you're sure they're both all the way full. This will cause the flags to stay at the top for quite a long time, making it easy to do the next step. When I only had the cup 3/4 full, I wasn't fast enough to do the next step with both flags at the top.

Thank you for your answer. I was having a hard time keeping the flags up to be able to hit the bell with the hammer and filling the cups completely kept the flags up and was able to hit the bell. Thanks.
