Impossible? No, just do this!

For those of you that are having trouble with this, the only thing I can suggest is making sure that you are choosing "main menu" directly after you fail a level, don't click "replay", and don't just exit the game.... this should bring up a popup that asks if you want to save... say YES, and then... this is the important part:

OVERWRITE your LAST (most recent) saved game, it will be the one listed at the bottom... when you click it, it will ask if you want to overwrite it, say yes.

Webwench, thanks that advice got me passed my level I have been on for hours.

This little trick doesn't work for me, either.

When the level ends and I get the "Restart" or "Main Menu" pop up box, I choose "Main Menu" but it never asks me to save. Just drops me to the Main Menu. So, I have to figure out some other way to get past this $1000 minimum level.

i dont know if this works in the other worlds because i didnt try it, it happened by accident. i was frosting a cake in the future world, and hit the phone, and i hadnt had a chance to answer it when it had rang before.. so i had it ignored it. anyway, it was clear to the end ot the game and i was frosting some cakes to put into the freezer for the next day, and wowser! the bubble came up, and it let me make the cake that was on the phone call. it was just enough to let me win the level! im on level nine now. anyway, it has worked everytime iv restarted a game, so i think thats a neat feature about the phone!

Had you saved a game (using one of the slots) before trying this? If not, that may be the problem... you may have to have a game's progress saved before this will work, it's the only thing I can think of, other than some kind of technical bug.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! This advice totally worked and I was able to finish the game. Halleleujah! I also found by making extra cakes with the most expensive toppers helped too.

Now I have started over and I got to keep all my upgrades! I'm trying to get all the trophies. Has anyone else done this?

Yes, I had a previous saved game, so I'm not sure what the problem is, either.

Fransje66 uninstalled, then reinstalled the game, and then the trick started working... and they didn't lose their levels, so maybe that's worth a shot, LittleWren?

Thanks for the tips. I have been playing all week. LOL. Have not reached the future world as I have been strivng to get the EXPERT on each level. Good Grief. Another good tip is in the Dinosaur Age and when I need a boost in my score or to get extra cash-- when the clock runs out. I always purchase the TV first and keep the channels going toward the end or every level to make cakes at a more leisurely pace--especially the more lavish cakes--and when I am exhausted or have gone cross-eyed. Anyway, I bop whoever is in line with the Club and then make up the most lavish cakes and serve them so that I can get extra cash. This can only be done to all characters EXCEPT the APES who are holding their own clubs as they just blink back at you and the Club does not work on them.

Thanks for the awesome tip for adding up the needed cash. I did that by accident one time and could not figure out how I did it. THANKS!
