Combine the white battery pack (in your inventory list) with the lamp. Then the lamp can be turned on.

Well I'm glad it's not just me!! (another "old lady") I can't get out of the cave either. Will have another try now I've read the various suggestions on here but then might have to ask for a refund on this one. It's the first time ever I've been totally stumped by a game. I was enjoying it up until this point.

Oh EUREKA!!!!! I checked the button on the far left (top) as suggested with the keyhole shaped motif on it. I realised then that one of the small buttons surrounding this was still depressed. Unpressed it (not sure there is such a word LOL) and then pressed all the illustrated buttons and the GATES OPENED!!!

Whoopeeeeeeee.

I am sooooooooooooooo frustrated with this cave. Have tried everything suggested by everyone and still unable to get out of cave. Some talk about blank buttons..............WHAT BLANK BUTTONS???? Lighting for scene not very good to find everything. Have tried coded buttons every which way but loose!! About ready to ask for a refund if I can't get out. Any more suggestions???

OOOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! I GOT OUT !!!!! Got so frustrated was pushing every blank whatever around the keyhold. Don't exactly know which one worked.............but I AM OUT................YEAH!!!

I finally made it out (with a lot of help from a PM from someone), that is the most difficult game puzzle that I have ever encountered.

me too. Stuck in Cave was having fun up till then. Hopefully some of the hints in Forum will help me out. Good luck everyone hope we all get out of the cave into the sunlight.

Okay I was doing it all backwards, had all the buttons down when they should all be up, they should all be purple to start and they are 3 diamond shapes around the far left 'key-hole' symbol - make sure they are NOT depressed.

After everything is un-depressed, then in order depress the buttons and it opens.

follow map code....go back to far left triangle with keyhole, press keyhole and then the other three boxes. it opened. good luck....it was just trial and error of everyone's suggestions and working on it for days that it opened.

I fluked into it. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but everything has to be in the non-glow position. I clicked on the two unmarked stones by the first symbol before I started, then after I clicked on the sequence and it didn't open. I clicked again on the 2 blank stones randomly. It finally opened.

OK- here we go (this from another old lady who loves BFG) Turn on the UV flashlight (upper right corner below the "letter") Put in the battery (white-right near the flashlight looking thing. When you click the light, it lights up the cave stones with symbols - finally! LOL Then take the note/letter and drag it down to the cave. Make sure all the stones are in the "out position". Then, in any order, click on the picture symbol stones that appear at the bottom of the letter. be careful- the cross symbol appears on two stones. push the one that has 2 prongs on the cross (like an F) the gate should open immediately. Good Luck! Let me know how you do!

I'm stuck in the cave also. I've pressed on the symbols that are listed on the code paper. Nothing. Guess, I'll get back into it & try it again. I've had so much trouble with items being clicked on & not being given the items. Some of the areas are so dark also, it's ridiculous. Why do they have such dark areas?

Still no go, until after I read entry from mockturtle. Thanks to her post, I was able to get it. I had clicked on the wrong one with the cross...the one I clicked on only had one through it. Now I'm out.

where did you find a walkthrough?

This game has been irritating from the start. Catching the bats was just stupid. The cave thing is obnoxious. Deleting this game now. But thanks for the information on trying to get out of the cave. Nothing has worked for me. Kitaboy
