Mine aren't blonde moments, just old age. At any rate, my post on the previous page has your answer if you are still looking.

What's with the Christmas branches?

- I have a neighbor who has those on their wish list. How do you get it there?

(two new questions)

I wish the mods would hyperlink the urls already.

You have to be out of branches to put them on your wishlist.

You can buy them in the store. You need so many each time you go in the Living room.

I think maybe it's because the ribbons and colorful flags needed from the snowman to make the key, can look somewhat alike. Could just be me, but the flags look suspiciously more like colored ribbons to me.

Now if I could just get those snowmen to cough up more than just the 2 I've gotten.

Try getting him just AFTER he has jumped.

Well if memory serves the last time I played this room I think most everyone ended up buying the colored flags to move on. I've only got two so far, however I did get a lucky clover and a blazing coals while feeding creatures yesterday. I think I was just having an incredibly lucky day though since I also got 2 jade camels and a crystal rose during neighbor visits. Merry Christmas indeed.

Back to the snowmen.

I understand creating & giving gifts to get the candies so you can open Santa's chest. What I'm not understanding is what you do with the presents you receive.

In the old post someone said it costs 30 candies to open a gift your N gave you.

In the How To Get Candies tab it reads, "Change candies for Santa's Chest OR[u] open Christmas presents sent by your friends."

I know this event has changed since the old post (2014), for example it's much shorter. Does anyone know if in fact you pay 30 candies to open one gift you have received?

Thanks!!!

Update: Well if I had just opened my eyes a little wider I would have seen 30 candies above the exchange bar on the gifts I have received, *sigh*

I bought the ribbons too! SOOOOOOOOOO glad I wasn't the only one! Now, do I buy the flags??? gotta think...getting him to appear, buying the snow, then NOT getting the flags...hmmm versus wanting to play...a few more rounds of this...

Christmas Tree Branches

If you don't have enough for the event, you ma buy it yourself. you can buy 50 pcs. for 10.000 coins. - Means you pay 200 coins for each branch.

If you gift a branch you pay 100 coins for each branch.

As of my calculation above, I gift 5 branches at every friend in my hood, except sleepers. Starting today, dayover (Timezone MET). .- Don't know a day is enough to finish this, as there are also tasks to do. Don't worry if you don't get it tomorrow, I'll go on gifting a day later.

If you don't get enough, set it on your WL. - They will apear, when you need them.

If everybody in my hood acts the same way, we will have enough branches for the event and save a lot of coins. - Not only a nice example for 'Return on Investment', a valueable coin saver.

@ SirGarrick and others who don't have enough coins, don't worry, I think everyone of the higher ranking friends remember and know your situation from their starting of RoM. Pay back when coins aren't that critical and other newbies encounter similar situations.

Let's fill the Piggy Bank

My humble opinion, this is not an easy quest. 15 artifacts to find which don't drop easily. Round and round we go. The colors also blend together. Ok, I'm done whining. Back to that lovely room.

I had some neighbors asking if Santa's Chest or the Christmas Gift is better to open. I went back to an old thread and found that achumannfaery posted the contents of both. They should be pretty much the same this time.

Christmas Present:
10 summoning scrolls
20 dragon tablets
3 phials of darkness
4 hammers of thor
6 random artifact charges
2 ethereal catalysts
10 magnifying glasses
1 Christmas Spirits trophy
5000 gold
500 experience points.

Santa's Chest:
200 silver tarra cards
1 time amulet
2 bio-modules
3 anaglyph glasses
10 phase watches
1 trophy (Hooray Christmas gifts)
5 hammer of thor
3 marble algae
20 summoning scrolls
10,000 gold
1000 xp's
10 random artifact charges

Agreed clm5457, though I have to admit to a small bout of pride in that I only need to complete the last 2 artifacts now. Already have gotten much further than I thought I would though I had to deplete the crystals I gained from the runes to get the rest of those colored flags.

Thanks Vulcaness for posting that info! Will definitely help me in deciding which way I want to go.
