Most of the achievements are self-explanatory; however, some have caused a bit of confusion:

Knight Lord – these are the knights to either side of the Castle entry. Move them x number of days in a row for each level of the achievement. If you miss a day, it resets to the beginning of the current part you are on. (The 24-hour day starts at GMT day roll and concludes when the next set of "new day" presents arrive.)

Time is Money – The 24-hour time clock begins when you get coins the first time after logging into the game. You have until that same time (24 hours later) to gather the amount need for part of the achievement you are working on. If you are not logged into the game when that 24 hours are up, then the clock restarts when you DO log back in and gather your first coins.

Tough as a Troll! and Dragon Fighter – Be sure to use the down arrows in the Dice Game to reveal these 2 players.

Treasurer Hunter—These are the chests you get from feeding your pets. Some pets give gold chests more often than others; Griffin does not give gold chests.

Fast Focus, Craftsmith and Morphing Collector – Each level you achieve helps you advance, for instance with Fast Focus, the second part of the achievement is to explore HOS 30 times in 30 minutes…..so the final part starts with you having 30 times completed. Thus, for the final part, you only need to explore 20 more scenes within the 30 minutes time limit.

Market Master -- Purchasing items to enter ZZ, and items from HOSs count toward this achievement. (Bringing back the Airship, opening the Dice Table early, winnings from the Fortune Wheel, entering HOS before cooldown, and items purchased for friends wish lists with coins do not count toward this achievement.) However, items purchased on friends' wish list with diamonds WILL count toward the achievement.

Cozy Cubby – The final level is to unlock 50 slots in your private room. Currently there are only 30 slots available to unlock. So no one can complete this achievement at this time.

Furniture Finder – The max for achievement is to purchase 100 items of furniture. There are only 82 items to purchase, so no one can currently complete this achievement.

Master of Negotiations – This achievement was added during the Winter 2016 event. Even though the final award is the Snowboarder avatar, trades with the children during any event will count toward this achievement.

Omnipresent – The requirement for completing "daily quests" is really mis-stated in this one. To receive credit, you must complete 30 parts of, 100 parts of, and 500 parts of daily quests. So each part of a regular daily quest will give you credit for this achievement. Players also receive credit for the 1-part quests during seasonal events.

The Airship Tower – As stated earlier, the Airship Tower becomes available to you at Level 5. --- Actually, the GAME directs you to opening the Tower during Level 5. It presents at the beginning of the game and can be opened at any time as long as you are willing to pay the necessary amount of coins. --- It will cost 200 coins to unlock it. The airship will sit in “dock” for 16 hours after it comes in. It will leave on its own if you do not send it off. It will return in 4 hours from the time it departs. (You can pay diamonds to bring it back sooner.)

If it departs on its own, or if you decide to send it empty, you receive no reward for the sending. However, if you pack each of the 3 crates, the “send” button will activate. You then receive 15 coins for every item you put in a crate (so if the game asks you for 10 ancient scrolls, you will receive 150 coins when you pack that crate), plus a bag of pet food and a stamp when you send off the airship.

It should also be noted that you can send an entirely full airship (pack all 3 crates) or send a totally empty airship (leaving all 3 crates unpacked). If you click to pack one of the boxes and try to send the airship, the "send" button is not activated and you cannot "uncheck" the box to get back the items (because you have already received coins for that packing). The only way to send a partially loaded airship is to pack one or two of the boxes and let the airship leave at the end of the 16-hour time in dock. And when it leaves, you receive no stamp or pet food.

(Some players choose to send an empty airship when it is asking for an item of which they have very few......the hope is that when the next airship arrives, it will ask for items of which the player has more available.)

During the seasonal events, you may also receive some extra seasonal item when you send off the airship.

The Dice Game – This feature becomes available at Level 4 and will cost 600 coins to open. Initially, the Dice Table had some random item for which you could play a character. However, this was recently changed. It now will only offer items relative to a character quest (through Prof. Pinfeathers quests) and when you have zero of that item in inventory.

If you have no character quests active, then each player at the Dice Table will offer only coins for winning. Please pay particular attention to the arrows below the Innkeeper and the Chamberlain…..this indicates that there are additional players with whom you can play. There are a total of 6 characters – Anabel (100), Iron Knight (150), Innkeeper (200), Lord Chamberlain (300), Troll (400), and Dragon (500).

You get 3 rolls of the dice for free. Then the Table closes for a period of 12 hours. If you do not play the Dice Table immediately, it remains open until you do play – the 12-hour timer starts when you have rolled your third time. You can reopen the dice table with diamonds.

The Fortune Wheel – This feature becomes available at Level 3 and costs 600 coins to open. You get one free spin each day….the wheel resets after a 24-hour time limit. It cannot be reset with diamonds. If you do not open it for your free play when it immediately becomes available, the 24-hour timer resets when you take your free turn. You can take additional spins…..the cost for each spin goes up in increments of 100….so the first one is free….the second one would cost 100 coins….the third spin would cost 200 coins….the fourth one would cost 300 coins, etc.

There is an achievement (Egg-Centric) for winning pet eggs from the Fortune Wheel. Sometimes there is a bit of confusion as to what pet eggs qualify for this achievement. If there is only 1 egg required to craft a pet, it is considered a pet egg. However, there are some of the Spring pets that require decorated Spring eggs to craft them. (These are the Baby Boy, Baby Girl, Chimney Sweep, and Cook.) For instance, multiple blue eggs are required to craft the Baby Boy.

To reiterate, the spring eggs that are Blue Egg, Golden Egg, Green Egg, and Red Egg ARE NOT considered to be pet eggs for the purpose of the Egg-Centric achievement. Sometimes players will spin the Fortune Wheel multiple times – to the tune of a boatload of coins – to attempt to get an egg from the Wheel. There has been more than one player who was most disappointed after spinning and receiving several colored eggs --- and then finding out the coins were wasted.

Morphing Flowers – On each location, you will be able to “capture” or “collect” 3 morphing flowers. They will pop up at random locations on the location…..they will NOT be in the HOSs. When you have collected 5 of them, you will receive 10 coins, a diamond, or a stamp. The coins are the most frequent……sometimes the stamps show up…..and the diamonds are rare.

It takes about 2 minutes for them to “regenerate.” There are some achievements associated with collecting these morphing flowers. During the seasonal events, they change to some other object. So far, it has been as follows:

Spring – eggs
Fall – pumpkins
Winter – snowflakes

During the seasonal events, the coin amount you receive is doubled to 20 coins. The other items you receive for collecting 5 changes with each season. It should be noted here that during the seasonal events you also receive diamonds at a much higher rate, so it is important to collect the morphing objects during the seasonal events because of the additional bounty received.

Additional note: There are 2 achievements associated with collecting morphing objects (Morphing Power and Morphing Collector). Any morphing object collected (whether a flower or a seasonal morph) will counted toward these 2 achievements. HOWEVER, the rolling tally (on the left side of your achievement page) that shows the number of "flowers" collected is only increased by collecting the morphing flowers. Morphing eggs, pumpkins, and snowflakes do not impact this total.

The Archivist – These are the Gnome quests. There are 3 different gnomes that will offer quests to you: Librender the Archivist, Mechanogle the Engineer, and Potionmant the Alchemist. This feature is unlocked at Level 10.

Pay particular attention to the circle around the Gnome! The Gnome quests are divided into parts…..there are 3-part quests; 5-part quests; and 10-part quests. The circle around the Gnome’s head will have some triangles separating the sections. If there are 3 sections (2 triangles), you have received a 3-part quest. You earn coins, an HOS item, and pet medallions when completing each part of the quest.

After you have completed the entire quest (all parts), you receive a bonus chest. The chest can be bronze/iron, silver, or gold. (The Exclusive pets also give platinum/blue chests.) For a complete listing of all the current daily quests, please look at the following thread: http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/652841.page

Some additional info about the Gnome Quests:

1. You can open it, view it, and then either X out of it or accept the quest.

2. If you accept the quest, sometimes you will get an item for the Daily Quest instead of a character quest. Example: The Daily Quest says to go to the Armored Bear. A character quest needs a Strangled Ruby. You need an Eight-Pointed Star to open the Armored Bear. You need a Murder's Eye for the Iron Chest to get the Strangled Ruby. Both the Murder's Eye and the Eight-Pointed Star come from the Crypt. So, if you have neither and want the Murder's Eye.....you just might get the Eight-Pointed Star instead if you have activated the Daily Quest. (You will get the Murder's Eye next visit to the Crypt, but you have to wait for it to recharge to do so.)

New Areas – Each area of the map will be unlocked as you advance in the game. If you click on the locked bubble on the map, you will see when each section is available. So far, there has not been a coin cost to open these new map areas. Current areas in the game are as follows:

CastleThe game opens here. By time everything has been opened, you will have 12 locations, 22 HOSs, and 35** ZZs opened.
**The Fire Altar ZZ is unlocked/opened/presented in the Forbidden Tower during Level 60. When the Wise Dragon returns to the Forbidden Tower (Level 73), he replaces the Fire Altar....which reduces the number of ZZ in the Castle to 34.

TownAchieve Level 22 and complete the Keeper of Wishes’ quest (This occurs after activating the Ring of Runes that opens the Mystery Chamber. The Keeper of Wishes then sends you to open Shining Split and you get the Map Pieces that “reveals the next part of the mysterious world.” When you click on the Map Pieces, you are taken to the Town – City Square). There are a total of 10 locations, 20 HOSs, and 33 ZZs in the Town.

Cloud CityAchieve Level 29 and complete the King’s Problem quest (This causes much confusion to players because it actually does not occur until you have almost finished Level 29. When you activate Griffin’s Horn, you are immediately taken to Cloud City Pier.) There will then be a bubble to open the Commercial District at Level 30. -- I recommend waiting to open this until the game sends you to this area. There are 7 locations, 14 HOS, and 23 ZZs in Cloud City until Levels 80 to 82. Then there are 10 locations, 19 HOS, and 30 ZZ.

Elvyn ForestComplete Level 45 and the Elf Creature quest (This occurs at the beginning of Level 45 ….When you use the Fairy Serpent, it opens the Elvyn Forest). There are 3 locations, 6 HOSs, and 9 ZZ in the Elvyn Forest

Dark TowerAchieve Level 61 and complete the Crossed Fingers quest (This occurs mid-way in Level 61 – after you have completed Norman’s and Arabella’s tasks –and then activate the Rune Scroll. The Rune Scroll opens the Dark Tower). There are 6 locations, 4 HOSs, and 20 ZZs in the Dark Tower.

HarborAchieve Level 70 and complete the Energy Search quest (This occurs when you activate the Portal Activator to unlock the portal. The portal takes you to the Harbor). There are 4 locations; 5 HOSs, and 11 ZZs in the Harbor.

AtlantisGet to Level 72 and complete the Sea Calls! quest (This happens when you give the Ocean Guide to the pirate. The Ocean Guide sets ship sailing and it ends up at a “forgotten city” – Atlantis). There are 4 locations, 8 HOSs, and 11 ZZs in Atlantis.

Fairy Forest - Get to Level 74 and complete the Ancient Artifact quest. (This area is opened a little over half way into the Level -- when you get the final piece to the Tablets of Wisdom and activate that item.) There are 3 locations, 6 HOSs, and 9 ZZs in Fairy Forest.

East - Achieve Level 77 and start the Envoy from the East quest (This happens when you activate the Storybook.) There are 8 locations, 15 HOSs, and 22 ZZ in East.

Tournaments – Tournaments are available at Level 8. The mailman comes with a message 1 hour before the beginning of the tournament. There are 5 rooms to visit for the tournament round. You enter each room, find the objects, then go to the next room. For PC players only, there is bonus scoring for accuracy (iOS and Kindle players have the option to enlarge the screen, and this interferes with the accuracy posting. So for iOS and Kindle players, the bonus feature has been disabled).

In addition to finding the hidden objects in each room, there will be “chips” placed in each room. The amount of chips will vary from 1 to 3 in each room, 3 being the maximum. After you have completed all 5 rooms, you will get the chance to spin the wheel to enhance your score. It takes 3 chips to spin the wheel one time. Your score is then posted to the Leader board. Diamonds are awarded to the top players.

Also, if you do not like the blinking light from the mailman announcing the tournament, you can disable this feature by clicking on your gear in the upper right corner of your game screen. Select “Additional Settings.” Click on the amber diamond next to “disable tournament notifications” to put a check mark there. Click on the x to close the screen.

This information is explained in much more detail in the Tips and Tricks located on the Helpful Links for Midnight Castle. It should be noted, though, that the “bust” has been removed from the wheel as well as the minus scores. There have been many discussions about the tournaments in the forum.

Periodically, the tournaments are suspended to work through any player concerns about fairness in play. At this writing, the tournament feature of the game is disabled.

Seasonal Events – As briefly mentioned earlier, there are currently 3 seasonal events. During those times, the Gnome Quests change to 1-part quests based on the season. (The gnome is replaced by some theme character – During the Fall event, the DQ is brought to you by “All Hallows Jack.” The Christmas Elf is employed during Winter, and a Spring Fairy is used during Spring.) Each season, there are new achievements, new pets and special avatars that are offered.

During each event, there are some changes to many of the scenes (snow falls during Winter, etc). The Dice table changes from a Skeleton to some other character, but still behaves the same way (the characters still cheat and you still lose – at least it seems that way!)

Some of the items you need to craft the seasonal pets are only received from completing the daily quest or from the bonus chest you receive. The quest requirements are usually easy to secure – mostly you just need to visit the HOSs repeatedly. It should be mentioned that the search button next to the item requested in a seasonal daily quest will only take you to an open HOS. It does not guarantee you will get that particular Christmas decoration.

During the seasonal event, the morphing flowers will change to something else – snowflake, pumpkin, or egg. During normal play, when you collect 5 morphing flowers you get 10 coins or an occasional stamp. Possibly, you will get a shard. Or, on some rare occasion, you might get a diamond.

However, the morphing objects during seasonal events bring much bounty of goodies……coin bundles are doubled to 20. Frequently, you will get a diamond for collecting 5 of “whatever.” During Christmas, you will get cards. So, it becomes very lucrative to collect all the morphing objects that you can while going from location to another. You will be amazed at how your coins and diamonds will build up!!

The airship is a peculiar area during seasonal events….it becomes a pumpkin blimp during Fall, a Sleigh with reindeer during Winter, and an egg during Spring. During the Winter and Spring event (when you send the airship), you will get your usual pet food and stamp, but you will also get an event item. It doesn’t matter if the airship has been docked for a while or if it has just returned/come in.

Memory fades here, but I remember the Fall event – the airship only gave some event goodie if you sent it immediately after it docked. If it sat there for a while, you only got the basic stamp and pet food. This could change over time…..bottom line, experiment with it and see if you get additional goodies.

There are "books" associated with each of the three events -- a Ghost Book (Fall), a Snow Globe Book (Winter), and an Egg Album (Spring). During each event, there will be flying orbs that show up on each location. You "capture" a ghost with a ghost trap; you "capture" a snow globe with a holiday wand; you secure an enchanted egg using a carrot. There are several achievements associated with each of the 3 books and items to be captured.

The books can be displayed in your private room by selecting one of them that the Gargoyle is holding (you can display one in your original room, one in the Christmas room, and one in the Spring room .... or choose the same one to display in all 3 rooms). When others enter your private room, they can click on whichever book you are displaying to see the collection in that book.

If you want to know more about the Seasonal events, you can read through the following thread:

Trina and the Private Room – When Trina was first added to the game, she was introduced to players at Level 6. This feature was moved to Level 13 in July 2016. A bubble will present to allow you to open the Key Master Shop for 100 coins. Inside the Key Master Shop will be another bubble to open the Lucky Diamond slot machine for 300 coins. You get 1 free spin within 24 hours; you can reset the timer for diamonds. With Trina's arrival, you now have the choice to “disenchant” an item for shards or sell it for coins (originally, you could only sell them for coins).

Trina's quests will comprise of 2 requests. As you advance in the game, her requests will increase. The most she has ever requested in quests that I have done is: 300 steering wheels, 200 shards, 20 postcards, 50 HOSs, or 20 ZZs. As a reward, she will give you coins and 1 Golden Key. (The coin amount also goes up as you advance in the game, but you still only get the 1 Key.)

You do not have to do her quests; they do not advance you in the game levels. However, they can be fulfilled while leveling up without much difficulty (except for the shard requests). You can open her request.....look at it and either accept it or click on the X to close it out. If you close it, or don't accept a new quest when you have completed one, she no longer appears on the left of your screen. You will then need to go into the Key Master's shop just below the Belfry on the Castle Entry to engage her again.

Your private room also becomes available with Trina’s introduction. You must do one of Trina's quests to unlock it. Additional golden keys are secured by doing more of Trina’s quests. Inside, if you click on the “off” button at the bottom, you will see “slots” that can be unlocked for various amount of golden keys. (Also, while the fields are activated, you can see a pencil in the upper left corner. You can backspace out the generic room description and enter your own personalized message.) There are “upgrades” you can make to each basic slot item in the room. (The upgrades are listed in the next 2 posts.)

You will notice butterflies sometimes flying around in the room. Some of them, when clicked on, will give you a Magic Shard (but not all of them – this is a random occurrence). Also, you will notice a chest toward the bottom of the screen. If you click on your chest, you will receive a shard, coins, pet food, diamond, or a stamp. The butterflies regenerate after 2 minutes; the Mystery Chest unlocks after 3 hours (Or you can open it during the recharge time for 3 diamonds).

After clicking on butterflies and the Mystery Chest in your own room, you can access one of your friends’ rooms and do the same thing. (It does not take anything away from your friend.) Sometimes you will need to click on several friends before you will see a chest in their room.

There is an icon on the lower right of the screen that looks like Just John. If you click on that, your friends will be scrolled along the bottom of the page. This will allow you to select one of your friends to see how they have decorated their room (or to see which room they have chosen to display).

Original Room -- 1 key to open the room
Gargoyle - 0 keys -- ghost book, snow globe album, egg album all for 1 shard each
Chair/Table - 0 keys
Lamp - 2 keys
Backdrop - 3 keys
Pet Stool - 1 key
Rug - 5 keys
Fireplace - 1 key
Mantle/Above Fireplace - 2 keys
Scarecrow - 10 keys
**Upgrades for all items (except gargoyle) are 10 shards; 1500 shards; or 20,000 coins

Additional info regarding the Gargoyle.....when you activate the slots, it will show that the "blank book" is already owned.....HOWEVER, if you then select it and click on the check box, it will give you the option to purchase it for 0 shards.....if you do this in each of your private rooms, you will have added 3 furniture upgrades to your achievement count in Furniture Finder. ...... There are currently 82 / 100 items that can be purchased in your private room (as of March 22, 2018) <--There is debate about whether this is still available as some appear to be able to select the blank book and others do not. So, advice is to try it to see if it works.

Wreath on Window - 3 keys - Bunny with eggs (1500 shards); Chick in wreath (5000 coin)
Window Sash - 3 keys - Cards on window sash (1500 shards); Curtain with roses (5000 coin)
Lantern - 3 keys - Roses with light (1500 shards); Mad Hatter hat (5000 coin)

Features of each room include:
Christmas Room 1 – You can click on a friend’s tree and leave them a gift under the tree. They receive some in-game item and you receive a Santa’s medallion as a thank you. The “gifts” are the Gift for a Friend pink boxes you occasionally receive at the completion of an HOS. The gifts are anonymous – the recipient never knows who’s gift gave them what. Also, you can click on your own tree (when presents are under the tree) to retrieve the gifts you received from friends.

Christmas Room 2 – There are 3 HOSs in this room (you can visit all 3 in your own room and in the room of each of your friends one time daily). When the room is maxed out, you will receive 250 coins from completing each one. So you can use the Winter event to really stock up on coins if you have a lot of friends and a lot of time.....to leave your friend a gift, you click on the open Santa sack.

Spring Room 1 – There is a terrace off to the mid-right side (click on the bunny in the basket). You can enter the terrace of a friend to play the HOS in this location. (It costs no keys to enter/open the Terrace.) Some of the items you need for achievements and pets are only available by entering the terrace HOS. You can also enter the terrace in your own Spring room. You can enter each terrace HOS one time during the 24-hour GMT day.

Spring Room 2 – There are 3 HOSs in this room (you can visit all 3 in your own room and in the room of each of your friends one time daily). When the room is maxed out, you will receive 250 coins from completing each one.

Mini-events and Castle Challenges – These features were introduced to the game in June of 2016. Mini-events become available at Level 4; the Castle Challenges are not available until a player reaches Level 10. (If a Mini-Event is in progress when you reach Level 4, you must then log out of the game and back in for the Mailman to send you the message about the Event.)

A Mini-event will typically last for about 2 days (48 hours). During the time of the event, you will be tasked with doing one thing…..collecting morphing flowers, going into HOSs, going into ZZs, etc. There will be a personal goal (with a reward after each of 3 increments). Then there will be a global goal to be met. The Mini-event goes across each platform – with different goals for each. (It is based on the number of people who play the game on each of the platforms.) Each person’s progress is added into the global progress as each player reaches a goal. In past events, if you continued the activity after you meet your final goal, all additional efforts are added into the global total. If the global goal is met by the combination of all the players’ efforts, everyone who participated in the Mini-event gets the global reward.

To learn more about one of the Mini-events, please see the following thread: http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/774000.page#6537380

The Castle Challenge is a 30-day event. Each day a different task is “unlocked.” You must do all the tasks in order, and you get no credit for doing a task unless it is unlocked AND you have completed each of the prior tasks. So, Day 1 the first task is unlocked. You can work on it, but you don’t necessarily have to finish it before the next day‘s task is unlocked. However, you must finish Day 1’s task before you can progress to Day 2. Some of the tasks are timed, so they must be done within the time limit listed. Rewards of an avatar are earned by completing 10 tasks. So, during a Castle Challenge, you have the opportunity to get up to 3 new avatars.

For a complete list of the tasks for each Castle Challenge so far, please see the following thread:

Amulets – The Amulet was introduced in November 2016, and is available to players when they reach Level 9. At the outset, you receive the No Cooldown Amulet and 120 Energy Units. It requires 100 energy units to activate this amulet. It remains activated for 60 minutes. During this time, you can enter any and all HOSs immediately and repeatedly.

You can receive a maximum of 20 Energy Units per 24-hour day. You receive the Energy Units randomly when completing an HOS. (However during the Fall event, you can also get an one for each ghost you trap—up to the daily maximum. During the Winter event, you can get one with each snow globe you crack—also, up to the daily maximum. During the Spring event, you can get one for each Enchanted Egg you capture—also, up to the daily maximum.)

The No Cooldown Amulet can be particularly helpful for players leveling up because they don’t need to wait for the room to recharge before being able to get back in. It can also be helpful for players who have reached the maximum level in the game during regular play when the Gnome quests are active. Some of the Gnome quests require you to enter the same room 3x for one part of the 3-, 5-, or 10-part quest.

The one disadvantage I see with the Amulet is that while you can cover some quests within the hour of activation that would normally take 6 hours to complete.....you also are deprived of earning the coins that could result from those 6 trips around the Castle.

Once you have activated the No Cooldown Amulet 3x, you get the Quick Cooldown Amulet. This one requires 47 Energy Units to activate it. It cuts the recharge time in half for all HOSs, and it also remains activated for 60 minutes.

Puzzles -- The Puzzle feature was introduced to players mid-February of 2017. Each puzzle is made up of 30 pieces. By default, the first puzzle to unlock is one of Anabel and the Iron Knight. When you have all the pieces for that puzzle, you may choose which of the remaining puzzles you want to unlock and work on next. When you make your choice, the unsolved puzzles are then locked until you complete the one you selected.

You receive a generic looking yellow puzzle piece randomly when completing an HOS. Once you have all 30 puzzle pieces for each of the puzzles, you will no longer receive puzzle pieces. As you collect the pieces, they display in their appropriate portion of the puzzle. When all 30 pieces are collected, the "Collect Pieces!" button changes to "Play." If you click on play, the pieces become jumbled and you must put the puzzle back together. You can then play with the child/sprite for prizes.

Some general info about the puzzles:
1. There is no pop-up to alert you that you have collected that last piece; you just no longer receive additional puzzle pieces. When you unlock the next puzzle, the pieces again fall at HOS completion.

2. You can disenchant duplicate puzzle pieces by clicking on the individual puzzle piece -- or you can click on the "Disenchant All" button to convert all duplicate pieces to Sparkles. ...... You can then click on the icon above the Collect Pieces/Play button to convert the sparkles into puzzle pieces. (You can also use diamonds to purchase the puzzle pieces):

...3 diamonds or 9 sparkles to purchase 3 puzzle pieces
...4 diamonds or 12 sparkles to purchase 5 puzzle pieces
...8 diamonds or 24 sparkles to purchase 10 puzzle pieces

3. When you complete a puzzle and unlock the next puzzle, all duplicate pieces are automatically converted to Sparkles. (Except when you finish the last one. If you do not disenchant before you play the puzzle, the extra pieces will continue to show on the completed puzzle.)

(Puzzles continued next post)

4. When you choose items for which to play, they will be arranged in order of their value.

5. Crafted items and seasonal items cannot be selected as items for which to play (not even during the Event).

6. After you play with the child/sprite for prizes, the puzzle will go into a 5-hour cooldown period. You have the option to spend 40 diamonds to play the puzzle again. (Edited note: The cooldown time and instant recharge cost has been altered to reflect changes resultant from the March 13, 2017 update)

7. When playing the guessing game....if you win an item, but then only get coins because you already took your free try and then decided to not pay the diamonds to play again.....the game still considers it an item won. You cannot request that item until the puzzle in which you "won" it has cooled down and is ready to play again.

There were some great threads created by players when the Puzzle feature was introduced:

So after the last puzzle? http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/894616.page
Puzzle Bonus Round http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/894603.page

An edited note: With the March 13, 2017, update, some of the Puzzle features were altered:
1. You can no longer put an egg in each of the remaining slots.
2. You can no longer select duplicates of the same item.
3. An item won, cannot be requested again until the puzzle in which it was won has completed the cooldown time.
4. Cooldown time (originally 3 hours) was changed to 5 hours
5. Cost to reopen the puzzle was changed from 20 diamonds to 40 diamonds.
