Beetle Temple: Animal Door/Gear Puzzle

lilyf, go to the map with the blue light flower and capture the light with the container and return it to the alter. That will get you the slingshot to use on the spider to get the ring. good luck

[b][i]Once I finished this game I was amazed I made it. So I played it again, It was simple the second time.

Hi all, any help would be appreciate'd,,,,,, I can't get gear #4,, & where do weight's go,,, I have a gear & wieght's in inventory, but can't seem to get them where they belong,,, thank's in advance Divaaa

Divaaa, welcome to the Fish Pond. Look in the upper right quadrant of your maps. One of them has a hook hanging down, Place the weight there. In one of the first maps is a big water wheel up in the upper right quadrant. There is a gear there that looks like a wheel hub ... if you haven't already found it. One map will have a rock wall in the middle. in lower right quadrant is a brown box with pegs on it. This is where you put the brown gears.

help! I'm up to the wall with the idol in the alcove,I've used all my hints. Can't find the crowbar. the lights flash & I click, but nothing is apparent. Pbhog

Please help - have used all my hints and I cannot find the pliers or the Trident in the 3rd room. I have all the animals except the fish. All my inventory is gone and the gears are not on the brown box - don't know where they disappeared to. Can't find the weight that goes on the hook. Have read all the posts and still am not understanding. Any help would really be appreciated. Figure I have to find the pliers and the trident before moving on, but have looked, put it away, looked again, put it away, spent hours looking again, etc.

I had the same problem (didn't have all the gears, hints weren't working, couldn't find the fish, etc) . . . so I restarted the level. It was EASY then, I think there was a "glitch" . . .actually had to restart it twice. Then, all the gears were available, and the items that were hidden were in blue (like they should have been). My suggestion for this game, if you are having issues . . .restart the level.

angelbaby2982,once you found all the animals they change to various shapes turn ALL of them to TRIANGLES and see what happens [some have more than one triangel so keep clicking on those!] If you need more help send me a message P.S.I completed the amazon.

...mommaluv, in the map where you find an animal, look above it. There is a box that you can click and symbols will appear. Each box should needs to be clicked so that a triangle is showing. Work with one animal, say the red bird...change the symbol to a triangle then go look at the door. Did the bird wedge turn gold? If no, go back to the map with the bird and change to a different traingle. Go look at the door. If it did not turn gold, go change to a different triangle. If it did, go to the next animal and do the same thing. Your goal is to turn the entire circle gold. Good Luck

I feel like I am going to grow old and bitter in front of this computer screen! First I tried to tough it out all weekend and figure out the gear puzzle on my own. For hours and hours and hours. This morning I threw in the towel and paged thru this thread and found a "walk-thru"---but I am stumbling more than I am walking! I believe I followed the directions (assuming the "left existing gear" is the one at the far left center) and most of the time the gears give a little wiggle, but when I push the lever---nada! I've done it over and over and over! Is there some sort of indicator if you have SOME of the gears right? Like, if they are correct on the pegs, you can't take them off? A light blinks on or they glow or something? I am getting really frustrated, and I am sorry because I know so many other people have put in a lot more time than I have trying to work this puzzle. It's just there is hard and then there is HARD and then there is "oh, s***w it!" Please send words of advice and guidance? (Or a few valium!)

dbs959, there is a picture of a solution for this puzzle in the walkthrough on Gamezebo. However, this is a randomly generated puzzle, so the puzzle pieces you get may not match the ones in the picture. The key to knowing if they are in the right place is that a piece will "lock" into the adjoining piece and they will move a little bit. They do not permanently lock into place nor do they change color. All I can do is encourage you to be persistent ... or to pay a neighborhood kid to do it for you LOL. Anyway, hope the picture helps. Thanks, Cesse! It doesn't solve the puzzle, but it at least relieves my mind. I was basing each succeeding effort on my previous attempt, which doesn't work in a random puzzle. And I was puzzled (hahaha) because sometimes the gears would "stick" to the peg and sometimes they would not---so what else might they do. Now I at least have a better idea of what's going on. How do I get the weight back, to hang on the hook. I had it and moved to other scene and it was got when I got back. Now its no where to be found????

Justme, if you are not able to find it, you may need to Replay the Level. You need the weight to hang on the hook to get one of the brown gears. Good Luck.
