Post any Luxor Evolved technical issues here only

If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend going to our Help pages. Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Access Violation
Game Compatibility

While we can offer a known solution for technical issues in the forums, or other tech savvy pond residents can swim by with good tips and suggestions, we cannot provide the same excellent level of support provided by our Customer Support team. The forums are not very well suited for the kinds of information gathering and troubleshooting that get these types of issues corrected quickly. If there is a problem with the game, our Support Team can also gather necessary information on what types of computers are being affected by the problem and deliver this information to the developer for a fix.

If you are not able to get a game working properly using our Help pages, please get in touch with our Customer Support team, you can find a link to contact our Support team on the front page of our Help pages.

*Please reserve this thread for tech issues only. If you are seeking game play assistance (i.e. hints and tips), the best thing to do is to start a new thread in the game's Forum by clicking on 'Create New Discussion.'

I now get a message that my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements to play this game, then the game shuts down--even though my computer does meet or exceed all the requirements listed on the game page.

System Requirements:
OS: Windows XP/Vista/Win7
CPU: 1.0 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
DirectX: 9.0
Hard Drive: 67 MB

My System:
OS: Windows XP
CPU: 1.4 GHz
RAM: 1.99 MB
DirectX: 9.0c
Hard Drive: 154 MB

So, wassup?

Welcome to the pond, Mijo58

I can't say for sure what may be going on, but I think that because there are always background applications running in Windows, you may not have enough processor speed or some other computer resource left over to run the game (and this may be what's causing the issue for TheRealDragon too). The game specs are written assuming that you have that much in free resources at all times even with other stuff running in the background (Windows, antivirus software, etc.)

Every time I play this game, and I get to the last Boss in Round 8, I will defeat the Boss, then immediately after doing so the game shuts-down. It will go through a re-booting process, which checks all of the ins and outs of the Program, then re-opens to the 'Finished Game' screen. When I close the Game and go to the Menu, the Menu screen reveals that the game is only 99% complete. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my PC. I have already spoken to a Tech there, downloaded the DrFelix App, updated all of my Drivers, Uninstalled the Game and then re-installed it. NOTHING has changed!! Isn't there some kind of bug-fix to take care of this??!!

Hi Aerosage, that "rebooting" sequence is part of the end game display and not a bug. When the credits start rolling you're supposed to keep playing...the marble chains coming out are there to be removed as usual and the treasures collected.

Luxor evolved SUDDENLY is runnung as a tiny window on the big screen of my windows 7 system. I use an HD TV as a screen. I recently downloaded dosbox and some dos games. Could this affect the game? My other bigfish games run just fine. I have the preferences for this game set to full screen. It actually runs at a slightly larger window if I set the preferences to window! I don't have a separate vidieo card, just INTEL HD.

Hi Katshell,

That definitely is an usual issue to pop up all of a sudden! Sometimes other programs can affect the way our games run, but our Tech Support Team will be able to see what's going on for sure.

First please run a Dr. Felix Report, which will collect some information about your computer and how Luxor is running on it.

Then, you can send that in to Tech Support through our Contact Us page, along with the information about what the display is doing now.

A Tech Specialist will take a look and work with you directly to get everything back to normal with Luxor Evolved.

Thank you!

I love the Luxor Evolved gamely, and play it only on Elite now. However, ever since downloading it on my iPhone 4 (many many months ago), I have the following issues:

1. It crashes almost every time while on a boss level before I can build up an extra life with hearts. I usually now exit out of the game to save it. It crashes on other levels also.

2. The Leaderboards no longer sync, even if I go to the leaderboards. The weekly and the lifetime leaderboards never load.

3. When I defeat the last boss on level 8, There is some sort of error, and a rebooting process occurs. It keeps the score alive from level 8 complete, and it plays some kind of level while the authors of the game are displayed. It then tallies the score from that little mini level to the overall score, and the game then completes.

4. I have my latest score of 103,441,050, but it is not posting to the leaderboards.

5. I have never seen an update version for this game since owning it.

Welcome to the pond, JCMusic

I play on my PC so don't know about most of those issues, but I don't think #3 is a bug. Not very conversant on computer tech stuff, but it's a throwback to old technology and sort of an inside joke from the developers. The credits screen is a playable level just like all the others (another little joke if you ask me, I wouldn't have figured it out except that I clicked the mouse accidentally the first time I saw the screen).

Congrats on scoring over 103 million...the best I've done is a little over 86 million!
