Hi fishies,

Just to add to the OP: This thread has been reserved for reviews only. If you have any comments or questions about someone else’s review (even if you feel that their review contains incorrect details about this game) please contact that user directly via PM instead of replying to or quoting their post.

While the reviews in this thread are first and foremost helpful to other players, they also tell us and all who were involved in making this game what you liked/disliked most, what you’d like to see more/less of in future games, etc. (As you could imagine, this feedback is very helpful! )

So to make sure that everyone who visits this thread can easily find the reviews that they’re looking for, the Moderation Team will be proactively removing any off-topic posts (i.e. non-reviews) that pop up in this thread.

For any comments and non-review posts, please feel free to create a "Comments" thread in this Game Forum if there isn't one already. You can always create a new thread for any game questions or tips.

Thank you!

bfgRhone

Where are the reviews? I always read them first, then watch the video and then compare the two. So far the reviews have never let me down and saved me money on games that I cannot either do or I would not like.

I took the plunge and tried it and just bought it. the graphics are beautiful, music is soothing and there is help if,, like me you are lousy at jigsaws.

to some the game might not be challenging enough but it is one you can sit and relax at and take your time.
Not very good at doing reviews but I know what I like and I like this game.
such a change from gloom and doom.
Thank you big fish.

Let's see:

The good:
+ Plenty of help:
* Border mode shows only border pieces
* Ghost mode shows the original image
* Zoom let's you get close to details
+ You can customize the existing wallpapers in three ways:
* Changing the number of pieces
* Enabling piece rotation
* Sligh shape shifting

The bad:
- Contains just 32 puzzles (4 categories, 8 puzzles per category)
- No way to use your own images
- Custom cursor is slow (but can be disabled)
- Point system that is completely useless.

All in all I have to say that is a not buy for me because of low replayability value: just 32 puzzles from which I would not even play all because I don't like cute animals.

For children this could be a very nice game (I'd started them in smaller puzzles and then moving to the same images with more pieces, for example), but if you're good at this you might want to try some other game. (I have my sight in Jigsaws Galore but have not bought it yet)

I found the game itself to be so-so. There is a very limited selection of images that, admittedly, can be adjust for number of pieces, type of pieces, rotation... but still the number of images is limited.

While looking through the files trying to find if there was a way to add files to the list, I discovered that one of the .xml files has profanity in it.

I don't care how good the game is otherwise, that made the game unacceptable - especially one obviously designed for children.

My recommendation is to NOT get this game!

I liked working the puzzles in the trial game that was free. I paid for the game and got nothing different. I was looking for more puzzles or at least a way to import new pictures. I am not very happy.

Bought the game yesterday and just started my first puzzle....made it about 10 minutes before I quit.

First problem is that there are very few images to choose from. I believe I have around 40 puzzles total which I can play.

Second problem is the "shadowing" of the puzzle pieces. When I picked up a puzzle piece, there was a shadow image around it until I placed it back onto the board. Even then, it seemed to still have a slight shadow that remained. This shadow distorts the openings of the puzzle pieces and makes them appear smaller than what they actually are. I found that I couldn't go by the shape of the puzzle piece, I had to entirely rely on the image. It's hard to describe the distortion.

If you think you want to buy this, demo it first!!!

I have a couple of other jigsaw games that I absolutely love and don't have the distortion that this game has. Would definitely not recommend this jigsaw game.
