Sheriff's badge in first scene??

The cigar hint points to under the bed but I see nothing and badge not visible

I am stuck too, No Walkthrough? Help me any one!!

First you have to find the towel. Use the towel on the fog on the buffet, you will uncover the flashlight. The flashlight will go into the drawer, remove it and use it under the bed. The badge will be exposed. Hope this help.
