The Broken Clues - Developers

The Broken Clues – DEVELOPERS

Oh boy, I have to say it and
This time it won’t be nice.
Cause it may be – the only way
You listen to advise.

Your game was simply awful
You don’t give me any time
To find those ghostly hidden objects
So you WON’T GET MY DIME.

To complete a scene I play it,
Not once or twice – but three
One scene said “find the dumbbell”
And I wondered - YOU OR ME “

You put so much in the making
I’d think you’d give your best
Why do you put a TIMER in ?
Who does your final test ?

And those teeny weeny objects
That I’m suppose to find
Do you think you’re being clever?
Do you want me to go blind ?

And just three hints…and deducting time
For wrong clicks that I do !!!
That’s simply unacceptable
And from me you get a BOO !!

Read thru the posts and you will see
Your game is just a joke
If you choose not to listen
Theres a good chance you’ll go broke.

Poodlebear may be right, and says
“Theres a lid for every pot”
But even there you have a choice
You may use it or you may not.

Why don't all of you listen?
Do I have to spell it out?
Okay I will - you asked for it.
Excuse me if I shout.

NO TIMERS please
What does it take to get it thru your head ?
I don’t need the stress timers put on me
I’d rather just be dead.

And give me HINTS, lots of HINTS
What difference is it to you ?
If you’re going to make the objects small
That’s the least that you can do.

And oh for heaven sakes you guys
Penalize me not… !
I’m not misbehaving !
I’m not a little tot.

So it’s up to you.. it is your game
I wish you all the best.
But again.. read thru the posts
It didn’t pass the test.

And BIG FISH.. to you I say
This game is a disgrace
I hope you’ll find another
To quickly take it’s place.

Great poem, celery. But can you mention the "spot the difference"?

I don't mind playing a spot the difference, but, good grief!, do they have to make them so obscure and slight? Appreciate it.

dtouchton........ yes I know what you mean... I don't mind the spot the difference games either but making the differences so obscure is rediculous... but in order not to be too much of a whiner... I figured that if we had unlimited hints...and time.... I could afford not to mention that...

If I can hit home on just these three points ... I can deal with a lot of other annoyances..

SKIPS on mini puzzles
NO TIMER...
HINTS a plenty............. those are my main beefs. Does that sound unreasonable..?

Bravo - loved it Celery -- touched on all the key issues. A++++

One more that comes to mind -- have someone proof your translation before offering your game.

Thanks Celeryhart, maybe, maybe, maybe the developers will notice that timers need to be an option!!!!

If games are frustrating then there is a large group who won't even try it, much lest buy it!

Celeryhart - that was exceptional! Way to speak all our hearts....I played the demo....yep all the way through - didn't have anything else to do - but, as soon as the hour was up - out came the garbage can and click it was gone.

Developers....I can't say anything good about your "The Broken Clues" game .....other than the guy was kinda cute.....the music was awful, the graphics were grainy, the timer and penalties were uncalled for and not necessary. (I'm playing the game - not you) If you plan to survive this business, you had better start listening to your potential customers

Big Fish : I'm disappointed (and that's the first time I've said that) Is this the best you can find out there to offer your loyal customers?

I wrote an email to the developers...

To whom it may concern:

I tried this game and want to tell you that I'm disappointed in it.
The "ghostly" objects are nearly impossible to see. The five minute timer is reprehensible!
And taking time off for every mis-click? Terrible, especially since the items tend to be small and translucent.
Have you not been listening?
The majority of your customer base is older females. We don't want to be rushed when we play a game. We want to relax and take our time.
For the next Hidden Object game you publish, you may want to consider giving us an option to play without a timer or at the least a longer timer.
I don't even want to talk about the "Spot The Difference" mini-games! Just awful on those.

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Susan

*end of email*

Now I don't know about y'all but I just can't believe BigFish was "impressed" as the website says. I'm sorry they even put their name on this one!
