Dust the magnifying lens and get ready to scour London locations as Sherlock Holmes. Join Watson, Mycroft, and Inspector Lestrade along with other historical characters in this multi-dimensional Hidden Object game. In the Lost Cases, you`ll investigate hundreds of potentially relevant clues in 16 cases of forgery, espionage, theft, murder and more. Use your skills at deduction to narrow down the culprits in The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes.

"The Mystery of the Billiards Blackmailer" When I get to the place where you have to arrange the suspects into categories, I find there are only 2 with guns instead of 3. Also, there are not enough men wearing ties to fill the rows across or the columns down.

Has anyone experienced this yet? Any help would be appreciated.

Not really. Altho I got confused at times because some of the suspects did not look like they belonged in the categories that accepted them. I just did the obvious ones first, then kept switching the others around until the game said "You got it, by jove!"

When you put the cursor on a suspect, if an X appears over the heading for the row or the column, it is in the wrong place. If no X appears over either heading, it is correct. Good Luck.

I am actually most of the way through this and think it is quite easy, in fact, IMHO, too easy. That is until I got to the 17th or 18th section, where it is necessary to find six piles of books and then place them into a box. I am going crazy! It does not seem that there is enough space, but I know there must be. Also, the cursor sticks to the various sets of books. The cursor stays just long enough to move the book stack enough to make a difference. I try to move the cursor only when it indicates that it has "let go" of the books but that is almost impossible sometimes. I may have to find a site with pictures as I cannot imagine any way for anyone to give me a word "picture" of where to put them. It has been a game worth the money, but if I cannot find a solution to this book problem, this may be the first game I have ever left undone! Any ideas, anyone?

The easiest way is to "wiggle" the books into position till they change color.

What's the point of the laboratory game, do you just keep solving potions(it 's getting boring!)

I have a picture of the solved books puzzle. I will send you a message with the link.

That;s where I am now and it's driving me crazy. I saw the photo in the Tips in Gamezebo but it doesn't work. Clearly there are only 3 guns so they should all go in the gun column. I don't see 3 ties. I'll try that suggestion about the X's which I hadn't figured out yet.

Thanks so much Cesse, that worked. The labels must have been wrong because they came up in different places when I reopened the game and they didn't match the pictures. Unless of course some of those people were carrying hidden guns and invisible ties.
