Survival Mode-Points

I've been playing survival mode for weeks. I can only manage get to around 4000 points before people get SUPER impatient and I start losing smileys left and right and lose, yet the high score you have to beat for the trophy is 10,000. Anyone have any suggestions or was anyone able to get any further?

Anyone have any tips on this?

Sorry, I've not come anywhere near 10,000 either.

i am keeping playing over and over, no way to over 4k...
