Can't find the pencil in hidden objects

This is in the store where you go into the box to go to another room. Also, when I played yesterday I had gotten through the child's room and headed back to old lays house where she lost her head. Now it won't let me go any further. Sent me all the way back to car wreck and well area. It did bring in open gates to the hospital?, but I can't go any further and every scene prior to that just says try other areas when I push hint. I am old and need help!,

I am not too sure how you have been progressing in this game but when I am stuck like you are, I find that checking out the game walkthrough is helpful!

Some tasks need to be performed in a certain order in order to unlock subsequent goals, so having a look at the Walkthrough below should help you to see if you may have missed anything.

A good tip for using the Walkthrough, is to use the search function of your computer by pressing Ctrl and F together , then in the box that pops up, search for the word 'picture' for example. This will allow you to skip to all the relevant parts of that Walkthrough!
