End of game

I was just wondering if the game is at the end when the inspector is on the deck and after being told to get into the lifeboat.

The end of the game is definitely close to that! There should be a credits screen that explains what happens to the characters in the future, and after that, the game ends. If you see the explanations of what happens to them, then you know you're all finished with the game.
