Cannot find the drumstick.

I have tried many times to get the drumstick that the native is either holding or standing in front of, I don't know which I don't see any thing that I would call a "drumstick", because I am looking for a kind of short stick. Am I wrong about that or am I in the wrong place?
If I am to cut the yarn that is on the upper stairway handrail, by using the sharp glass, it's not letting me. Again, am I doing the wrong thing or is the game at fault. Does anyone know?

I just found the answers to my own questions. I need to use the dart on the yarn, and then the yarn w/dart in it becomes the drumstick. Maybe that helped someone.
