If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend going to our Help pages. Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:

Well I took a chance and bought the game and the constant loop is a thing of the past and I have been able to leave home and go into the forest so thanks for fixing that devs.

However my first complaint still hasn't been addressed and that is that the custom cursor still stops working occasionally and then you have that one and the system cursor both on the screen at the same time but with neither working and so you have to click the Escape button to exit the game. This has happened in the following locations ...

Playing the hidden object scene in the chest.
Playing the hidden object scene under the bed.
Replaying the hidden object scene under the bed.
Clicking on the well in the forest.

There is a good side to this problem and that is that I only had to replay the hidden object scenes again from the beginning and not the whole game and I was taken back to the well area.

As you can continue without too much hassle I will soldier on but I just wanted the devs to be aware of the problem so that they can ensure that the same thing doesn't happen when making their next game.

BFG ... For your information purposes the GM did not notify me that an update was available for this game.

ETA 2 ...

The custom cursor stopped working quite a lot more throughout the game (and I mean into double figures) but I did manage to eventually finish the game.

looping problem seems to be fixed, but now it's runtime error messages. After you restart you have to start HOs from scratch. Twice, I was just on the verge of buying, when up pops the message and shutdown of the game.I don't like to be on edge while playing, wondering if the game is going to shut down. Seems like a good game. What to do???

I am also having a problem withe curser all the sudden going from theirs to just a regular curser but for me when it does that it also terminates the game with this message: Runtime has asked to close down in an unusual way and I am kicked off. I can restart the game but it is not always at the same spot. Just wanted you to know there are still some issues that the devs need to work out in this game or any other game they create for sale. Thanks Big Fish for doing what you could with their game and these people need to take a page from your book. I have never bought a game that was your creation that gave me any problems what so ever. One thing though, hurry and get the new Margrave out that I tested and loved!!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with the cursor. Letting our Tech Support team know what you're seeing will help us determine a cause of that quickly.

pilimai729, errors like that can be caused by a couple different things, but you can first try uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that helps. You can find information on doing that here on our help article:

Uninstall / Reinstall a Game

If that's not helping, please contact our Tech Support team and let them know what's happening. They'll be happy to assist you further.

Just finished playing the updated install. Solved the main problem of being unplayable but there were frequent runtime crashes and I'm not alone.

Game is stuck at old woman's house, I've fixed her mortar 3 times & done the HO also 3x and it keeps going back to the same scene. What now????? I want my game credit back!!

I am already too tired and too frustrated to do the Dr Felix thing. I have posted some of the problems, which seems to be pond wide. I've done all te generic instructions, broke down and bought the game, only to consistently get access violation termination. It is a nice game, but I have a headache. I am always supportive of the bfg team, but these last few games need some serious help.I'm on an access violation break, so am posting my gripe.I realize thatthe push is on to keep us supplied with games. I just wish the developers weren't so quick to get in the market first. If you have a good game, which this seems to be, it would be a great game, if you took the time to tweak it. Back to try one more time. I'm starting to play the scenes blindfolded since it always takes us back to a completed scene.

now I'm on a runtime break. I must admit the game is interesting, but since I rate my games also, on their replayability, I'm not to sure how many days I will feel masochistic enough to put myself through this, I think we should all get our credit back, plus an extra one for punitive damages. in all the years I have been with BFG, I think this would only be my third refund request.

And another runtime break. I should have taken the time to note when these errors occur, but I had noticed someone else had already enumerated a few of them, I think saying with "tongue in cheek"the devs threw the glitches in to make the game seem longer. Back to hopefully finish game.

So close. I'm on the home stretch, and thought I'd be able to finish, but it was not meant to be. I feel like I have my own blog site, and I do not social network. Not twitter, facebook, my space, or any of those sites out there. Hopefully by tomorrow morning I will see a final, final, update. Thank you all for listening, and BFG team, you guys are really great, but as I said earlier, I did all the 'generic fixes. now get back to work on a total fix. I'm tired of updating my computer.

This will be my final, I hope, post.
it seems that the runtime error pops up on every HO scene, so my advice is, remember where everything is, because you will be playing it again. Now I'm going to join all the other fishies, who are apparently playing without incidence. After I relax, I will do all the generic fixes, including uninstal, again.I just rechecked windows and graphic card drivers updates. Ihave resolution set at1024x768 and dpi at small.Hope everyone is having a happy gaming time. It is a relatively good game. Aloha no a hui hou

As it sounds like you have updated and adjusted all you can from your end, please feel free to get in touch with our Tech Support team for some more dedicated support.

abamma - have you updated the game to the New Version yet?

If you have already done so already, creating a new player profile could help as well, but keep in mind that doing this would require you to start over from the beginning.

Well, I'm playing the updated version and also had problems with runtime errors in the hidden object scenes. Since the game just started you at the same hidden object scene once you restart the game, it wasn't too bad.

**SPOILER FOLLOWS**
HOWEVER, now I'm nearly at the end of the game and the game locked up just after I got the egg and the scene switched to (presumably) where I'm going to confront the wizard. As soon as the scene switched, I looked at my journal and backed up a page to see if I'd missed reading any pages. But then I was unable to flip the page forward again and when I closed the journal and went back to the game, I was suddenly back in the scene I'd just finished and was unable to move anywhere. I had to use the task manager to kill the game.

Then when I started the game up again, I found I could no longer play my character. The name appears, but "Play" won't highlight and I can't finish the game. I can play all the "Free Games", so I suspect the game thinks I finished to game and I can no longer play my character.

I did try the usual uninstall/reinstall, update everything, etc., but nothing has helped. I guess my only option is to replay the game, but I really don't want to do that until a new version comes that fixes everything. Any word on that???

It definitely isn't nice to get stuck right before the end of the game.

It sounds like you already tried everything you could, therefore I would recommend you to send a message to our Technical Support.

If possible it would also be helpful if you could attach a Dr. Felix in your message. This way they can have a look at everything right away and gather the information needed for the game.

because of my frustration with the errors in the game, I have read every post in the forum, and have noted that some comments were made about the end of the game being somewhat confusing. I also thought so, but don't know if it was supposed to end that way, or was it another glitch in the game?

Having a problem in the old lady's cabin, keeps pointing to the garlic but I cannot get it. Have uninstalled and reinstalled game and even did a knew profile. Anyone have a solution?

Welcome to the Pond!

Have you tried clicking around the garlic in case the hotspot of that itme is a little off?

Failing that, I would check to see if there are any other actions you can complet before trying that object again. Oftentimes, checking that all steps have been completed will help you to collect an object that is unresponsive!
