Elevator

I PRETTY WELL GUESSED THE ENDING OF THE GAME AND WAS ANXIOUS TO GET TO IT, SO I USED KRISTOFERIAN'S ANSWERS AND FOUND THAT I HAD FIGURED EVERYTHING OUT MYSELF, BUT NEVER DID FIND THE CLUES FOR THE "SPADES" PART. I'M GOING TO START THE GAME AGAIN FROM THE BEGINNING AND WOULD APPRECIATE AN ANSWER FOR THIS ONE.

The clues are found:

On the front gate plaque
On the buoy in the underground cavern, as seen through the telescope
On the schoolhouse chalkboard
On the front gate as seen through the telescope in Victor's bedroom

welcome to the Fish Pond. Go outside and look at the cellar door; there is a temperature scratched into it. Go back to the stove and turn the temp gauge to match that temp. Look at stove top. Duplicate the pattern on stove top onto the cellar door. Good Luck

Numbers on buoy - Spade
The numbers gives are arranged in a pyramid.

------------31------------
------14--------17-------
Spade ----9------8------

14 plus 17 equals 31
9 plus 8 equals 17
5 plus 9 equals 14
The 2 numbers beside each other add up to the number above them in the pyramid.
The 5 would be the number where the Spade is.

I am am not sure how to release the twins. I am in the well. The bucket is still hanging. The room is still dark. AND no sparks to find anymore clues. I have a screw driver, a damp rag, jar with gasoline. NOW WHAT ????

First click on the door and you have to solve a mini puzzle to open it.
This mini puzzle involves clicking on corresponding shapes in the matrix as the figures above and below appear with them. Once you have enough points, the door will open.
You should have in your inventory matches.
Use the matches on the tinder -that's on the left-hand side of the room.
Each crypt has another mini puzzle. Basically what you do is trace an unbroken line for each maze. You cannot re-use a point and you cannot cross each point more than once.
Once you solve the three puzzles, click the centre coffin and the twins will be free.

Stacy, do you have a lever in your inventory? You use that on the round thing on the left side of the elevator doors.
...You won't get the skeleton until the last quarter of the game or so.
...You need to play a game in a basement called Whack a Troll....I think it's where the phone box is located. That will give you a coin to use on the telescope.
