Number of files in game created back in 1984

I have noticed quite a number of files in Hyperballoid 2 that were made way back in 1984 thats a long time ago for game files to be created.

How did you find that out?

My guess is that they are not actual game content files and that they have little to do with how old the game is, but that they probably work more like system files to help the game run. Like I said...just a guess.
