distorted game

Hi, curious about the t'bugs & t'bugs 2 which i bought just recently. I have both of them on my main comp as well as my lap top
there fine on the laptop but I've given up trying to play them on the PC as it plays up with my eyes, the reaction time from the click of the mouse to the bugs is a couple of seconds as well as the bugs are "jerky" if that makes sense, they also have a distorted thing happening around each bug????
because of the time delay the aims are inacurrate
i have tried all the different settings for the screen, no effect
has any one els had this issue
also, the collection of gold rings what bonus do u get with these and how does the "time bonus " work
