any more news on that Nono? Is this going to be task oriented like VV or casual play like The Sims?

Last I heard LDW was releasing Virtual Family in the 1st quarter of 2009 so will probably be sometime in March.

I don't know how quickly it'll make to . Probably a few weeks after debut.

I'm trying to wait but I love these games. LDW also has Virtual Villagers 4 in the works (no release date as of yet)

But we are in a pond, why would we need to do dishes, the pond is full of water

And this game sort of sounds like a simplified sims game...

The progress bar now stands at 90%.

And though it may sound and look like a simplified Sim's game, nothing coming out the Last Day of Work developement shop is ever easy.

LDW is Last Day of Work; the developers of the Virtual Villagers series, Fish Tycoon, Plant Tycoon, and now Virtual Families.

I hope so, cause I have a feeling I'm gonna need more than an hour trial just to figure this game out! LoL
It looks like fun but learning it, for me, will take a lot of time.

I just tried the hour demo from LDW. Like virtual villagers it is slow in the beginning but it certainly has potential. It has certain mysteries to figure out, mine was what am I supposed to do with a oven fire???? Couldn't figure that one out.

I am anxiously awaiting BFG to get this!

I've been playing the game most of the day and haven't encountered the oven fire yet. I have seen the toilet get stopped up, the shower drain clogged and the kitchen faucet sprung a leak. It's been fun trying to figure out how to fix everything. For the shower I had to let it leak for the longest time while I tried to figure out the fix. Finally a light bulb went off and I felt sooooooo dumb for taking so long!

It's really an interesting game, much more so that I first thought when I heard the name of it. Very glad I purchased it. It came with a guide that you could download to give hints on how everything works but doesn't give spoilers, which I liked because for me figuring it all out is best part of the games.

Well worth the money!

Hi Doobie and all,
LDW has really outdone themselves with this game! It. Just. SHINES
I adore the new faces. The spam emails. The groceries. PETS !!! All the offered (and as yet unaffordable) home/office/workshop upgrades.....
I love the house, the kookie appliances, the television programs with the runaround remote, selling stuff on-line, the daily changes of store products...my right off the bat set of gorgeous twin girls to keep my homeless adopted waif company....
I can see myself playing this game daily for the next few years and still being charmed and amused and gratified with every trophy/award/level I can collect.

(And using this game as a model, I forsee very good things in regards to VV4)

You could have gone all year without telling me you had a set of twins already, MC!!

I still say CONGRATULATIONS!! anyway!

I have a kitty-cat already and 3 children.........working on a 4th but so far they're not being cooperative!!! LOL

Have you seen the gophers yet? I laughed out loud at them and hubby had to know what I was laughing about. He even smiled when I showed him the kitty........because it was laying on one of the childrens' bunk beds!! Cute!!

This is one I didn't think I'd like as much as the little villagers........but so far I like it just as much.......if not better!
