Digging up the jar

I am not able to dig up the glass jar in the playground. Any ideas?

it will tell you to dig 5 steps north.

Been trying for an hour now and no luck in finding place to dig. Even went to help and no answer there.

Still in a quandary -- says north. To me north is up - went as far as top of the screen and it still says go north.
