How do you get the guard?!

Sorry if this is a silly question, but how do you get help to catch the fox etc?

There are no silly questions!

When a fox appears you do have to react quickly and the way to snare him is to click repeatedly on him.

Once you start clicking, you should see a rope appear and begin to wind around him, keep clicking and you will have him trussed up in no time!
