forums for other games

Am I just not understanding how BFG forums work, or are there only forums for 2 MCF games availalbe? I have some questions about the Sherlock Holmes Mystery of the Mummy game and don't know where to go to find some answers.

Thanks, I'll check that link. My issue, however, is not needing a hint, it is more basic. The game offers six 'save'spots. Because it is such an involved game, I need more. I've filled all six spots. It isn't offering me any more nor can I find a way to delete some of the earlier, no longer needed 'saves'. Until I can figure out this aspect of playing the game, I can't move forward because it always puts me back where I saved it the sixth time. I thought maybe it would 'drop off' the earlier saves but it didn't.

Also, I can't pause the game if I need to stop playing for a while. If I manage to get the game minimized (which is almost never), when I maximize it again I only get a black screen and sound.

So, you see, I'm needing technical advice for the game rather than cheats or hints for moving through the game.

PS. just checked your link. Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Mummy is not one of the games listed there. Just an FYI.

Can't help with tech questions. Other walkthrough site to check is GameBoomers. I believe they have Sherlock Holmes and Mystery of Mummy.

There is also a site called Spoiler Centre - maybe you can find something there. Another site is called The Spoiler - I love that site for walk throughs of The Agatha Christie type games. Good luck!

So are you saying that she is right and there are only forums for two games? All the help questions just refer you to 'The Forums' but do not tell you how to access them. I came here because it was the only way I could get into any forum at all.

Is this the deal, just these two and no place to discuss any other games?

Am I missing a link from somewhere? I only play the downloaded games and am not interested in playing in the online community.

TIA

The only official BFG forums so far are Ravenhearst and Mme. Fate. Gamers have asked questions about other games and gotten answers from the forum members. The site moderator has been unavailable sice 12/17/07. I used Live Chat to ask about whether BFG was going to appoint someone and got a couteous non-answer.

If you need help w/ a specific other game, start a new topic w/its name in the subject. Be specific about your question and what part of the game, etc. If someone can help, you should get a reply quickly.

For game glitches or download problems, use Live Chat or email support. Hope that answers your questions.

Can anyone help with Escape from the Museum? I am almost finished but cannot get the Security room where the door keeps closing and you have to keep pushing it open and cannot find the blank tape and keys.

In the SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE MYSTERY OF THE MUMMY game, the strategy guide says "use the cane in the study on the lion". Before that point, the guide never mentions the where to pick up the "cane" and in addition I can't find it. Is this an error in the game? If not, where can the can be found? The Guide does not tell you. This has left me at a blank spot where I can't proceed any further.

Thanks!

Use edit in the Windows menu and Find on page to search for "cane".

This is what came up--
Montcalfe's Bedroom
Go down the hall toward the statue one time. Stop and look down and to the right across from the study door. You should see a fork sticking out from the edge of the carpet runner. Pick up that FORK. Go back into the study and use the fork on the picture over the fireplace. Sherlock will make a comment about a crack in the painting and you'll see a dark hole low in the center of the painting. Use the fork in close up, from your inventory, to find the hole and pry the painting open, revealing a hidden compartment. There are a lot of hidden panels, rooms, compartments in the the museum...as you are discovering. Find the REAL REGISTER of Montcalfe's Egyptian collection. If you take the time to compare the "real" with the "fake," you will find some captivating discrepancies you might wish to mull over. Pick up the CANE from the compartment.

Good luck and have fun!
