Valley of the Spirits

I have tried repeatedly to cover the poles with the leaves as the guides suggest, but I never hear any sounds. What am I doing wrong? I downloaded the game onto my PC, so do I have to do this? I went to the halo with the dirty lens, but it won't let me put the clean one on. This is SO FRUSTRATING!

I too am having trouble replacing clean lens. Hope somebody can help.
