Put skunks and banana throwers in the 2 closest to the portals, then just stock up on the banana guys and use your hero. I also had a fully upgraded ram in the center spot, helped with the big guys alot. Pretty easy once you get everything upgraded.
That said, I hadn't figured this out until I clicked on the arrows next to the units and realized I could actually use more than what was showing on this level
