No, because the progress files are kept elsewhere on your PC. Today I reinstalled a game that I had uninstalled months ago and my progress was still there (unfortunately, in my case!). But if you feel uncomfortable with this, just contact customer support.

Game will not start after upgrading to Win10 Creator's Build 1703.

Error message in log file is :
Error. Could not create DirectX device. Error: -2005530516. Size: 0 x 0. DeviceType: 1.

Any suggestions?

1. This game needs DirectX 9, according to system requirements. Heard that sometimes there's some trouble with DirectX 9 and Win 10.
3. Click on the Customer Support link at the bottom of this page and look for relevant troubleshooting articles. If you find none, then submit a ticket there, mentioning your game ID (to be found under Hero icon in the game). Or,
2. Go to the game's settings and click on the Support link (it's right beneath Languages, in faint blue letters). This will take you directly to support for this specific game.

If players uninstall and reinstall Sir Match-a-Lot on their PC, progress shouldn't be lost as they are stored on a certain file as eli173 mentioned. If you still feel uncomfortable with this step, please reach out to our Sir Match-a-Lot Support Team with a Dr. Felix Diagnostic Report. The Support Team is always willing to help provide further troubleshooting based on your computer's configurations.

For the error message you are experiencing Sandy_Johnson, please be sure that you meet the game requirements as eli173 mentioned. I'll include them below based on the game page:

Since last night, in last world (desert), every time there are no more moves left, the game freezes and just hangs there. It's happened to me a few times now. Only started last night.

Thank you for your patience while waiting on a response. It sounds like the game is freezing if moves run out while playing in World 8, Deserted Desert. I'm sorry to hear that is happening and want to provide some preliminary troubleshooting which may be able to assist as well as how to reach our Sir Match-a-Lot Support Team for more assistance.

In this case, since the game is freezing, what I recommend is seeing if the following set of steps linked below could quickly resolve the issue:

Crashing, Freezing, Game Won't Open (Computer)

Players have in the past been able to use those steps above to resolve freezes for their game, however if they don't seem to work, please don't hesitate to contact our Sir Match-a-Lot Support Team. It may also be helpful to include a Dr. Felix Report so our Reps can more quickly investigate what may be happening. Our Reps will be sure to get back in touch as soon as possible to help.

I was hit today with a virus while playing this game and it took my whole game!
My WebRoot Anti Virus read it came through BF Games !! So I tried a system restore
and now my computer (PC) will not even restore itself,I cannot go back to a later date
or anything! I have tried several. I have played this game daily since it first came out and
had a lot of stuff,NOW GONE, it will not even reload.I did not pay for this game but,
it should not cost me a computer only 1 1/2 yrs. old. and still ran great till...????

Sir Match-a lot has stopped working totally. I click on the icon to load it and nothing happens. I also have FARM UP on dashboard also and that runs just fine. I deleted the program and reinstalled it but nothing happens still. Before this all happened, my anti-virus program stopped it from loading as it said that sirmathalot...trogan or something like that. HELP !@!@!@ Randy

I'm sorry to hear that when trying to play this game, your antivirus software seems to be flagging it and making it hard to open to play your game. Please keep in mind that our games are guaranteed virus free and are tested rigorously before they are released. it is possible that the software has outdated definitions which is why it is showing a false positive. It is highly recommended to provide to our Sir Match-a-Lot Support Team the following information:

Game title
Name of the antivirus company
Message alert
Big Fish Games file being detected as infected (might end with .exe)

This game won't even open for me. It just goes back to the game manager. I have spent money on this game and now it is as if it does not exist. How do you get away with this?

My game will open and run but it locks up for several seconds. I might get 2 moves in then it locks up and then resumes. With the new updates where you have the bonus levels, it seems to bog it down a touch on loading. I've tried the administrator side but that wouldn't even let me open the game.
Wondering if there are going to be any updates and/ or patches coming up for it soon.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening and definitely want to provide some suggested troubleshooting steps to see if that can be cleared up real fast. I am also going to provide some steps for reaching our Sir Match-a-Lot Support Team if more assistance is necessary.

ttwnldy and mode4eng, we definitely want players to be able to enjoy the game, and I would like to suggest the following troubleshooting steps as they may assist in resolving this issue quickly:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen

As for when an update or patch may occur mode4eng, unfortunately, the Forum Moderation Team is not provided information concerning these until they are released to our players. As soon as this information is provided, a moderator will be sure to announce those changes for players to review. Thank you for understanding.

For any problems that continue after trying those above steps or if you'd just prefer some extra assistance, I recommend contacting our Sir Match-a-Lot Support Team with your in-game User ID, if possible.

Since it appears some troubleshooting may have been attempted, it could also assist our Reps to provide what steps have been tried as well as a Dr. Felix Report. That information will help our Reps investigate what might be occurring when they get back in touch as soon as they can to help out.

Level 32 on World #9 / Asian Garden is another one of those that if you have no more moves, you will lose a life.... Is this suppose to happen??

If you are referring to your player ID, this can be located with the following steps:

Open Sir Match-a-lot.
Tap Play.
Tap the Hero button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Info. Your player ID should appear at the bottom left.

When I opened the game I have a message 'This game version is out of date. Please check for an update in the big fish game app'. Then two boxes 'exit' and 'install later'. When I exit there is no update on the app. When I click on install later the game starts from where I left off the last time. I play on windows 10. What gives?
