Tips and Tricks for Astro Avenger 2

Turrets – Turrets are invincible until your ship approaches them. They can fire at you, but there is nothing you can do to knock these out until they rise up. To bring turrets up, quickly move your ship towards them and then return your ship to firing position.

Save Your Plasma – You may be tempted to upgrade your weapons, but they don’t get significantly better until you get to the higher level weapons. There’s also another reason to save your plasma: the “Secret Weapon”. Once you have assembled this gun, you’ll find that you’re pretty much invincible when you’re using it. You hardly need to aim this weapon and it wipes out all enemies in your path. However, it does have a downside. It uses your plasma to fire. So, you’ll go through your plasma pretty quick if you don’t have enough saved up.

Load up on Missiles
– The boss battles are pretty tough in Astro Avengers 2. These giant ships will stop you in a few minutes if you don’t crush them quickly enough. The best way to do this is to launch a few missiles.

Turrets aren't quite invincible - they may be destroyed before they pop up by either missile explosions, or that purple spreadfire homing laser. Those tiny ships in the containers, on the other hand, don't even exist until you've activated them, so that tip about activation applies there.

Save your bucks for the bigger missiles. Yes, they cost more, but the large area-effect missiles do so much more damage than the small ones that it's well worth buying them instead.
