the Water works

Does you having the waterworks effect how good your garden or forest grows. Or do you just need to have a well. Basically if you are going to have a garden, farm or forest hut should you make sure you have that water works to cover the area that is being used. Or is it place where the workers just get water.

I haven't noticed any difference in production, but then, if a well was already there I just repaired it and didn't bother with a waterworks.

The waterworks covers a MUCH larger area, so if I find a large area where I can put a farm and/or forester, I'll spend the resources and build it.

I don't know about production, but I did figure out in the last level that you have to have a waterworks for a farm/garden etc if they're not by a well. I wasted loads of time wondering why I couldn't build my garden when I had loads of workers, lots of food and wood and space to put it, but it just wasn't turning green for me to build!
