Tower Of Elements game froze MacBook Pro

I booted up the trial version of the game Tower Of Elements. My 2011 MacBook Pro computer flickered wildly and then froze. I shut my computer down and rebooted. My screen was blue with vertical flickering white lines. I rebooted again and my computer was back to normal. Anyone else has had this problem?

That definitely doesn't sound like it should be happening when opening that game!
