Sooo stuck at lvl 26

I keep trying and I just can't get the population in time for the gold. Robbers come and scare my population down. Built the 2 stables and the barber shop. Even threw in a church. But then food gets low. and there went my population again. I was almost there but just can't seem to hang on. I want the gold....
any suggestions of what someone else did on this level?

You need two Ranches for this level upgraded enough to have 100 population. Sell the Stables, build two gold mines first off, and about 6 or 7 houses and keep upgrading to reach 100 population goal.
