magic mushrooms won't give up their treasure

I am to the point where one goes to Iza's house, and crossing the bridge sees the hollowed tree. Clicking on it I see the mushrooms with the necklace dangling, the feather and the centipede. Yet clicking on the mushrooms is not working. The centipede just keeps crawling back and forth.
HELP!

Welcome to the Pond!

After you cross the bridge and reach the tree, you can ignore those mushrooms. Here's what you need to click on at the tree:

Click on the eggs and take the first symbol.
Move the handkerchief and take the second symbol.
Move the feathers and take the third symbol.
Take the fourth symbol

Once you've done that, zoom into the door and place the four symbols into their correct slots.
