game ends too early!

I was very surprised when I found out the renovations were done and the game was over considering I'm only about halfway through the puzzles. I realize I can still play the hidden object scenes and the mini games but it's just not the same now that there are no more renovations to make or any reason to collect gems, make money, etc. Why couldn't they have either kept the game going longer or spread out the renovations more? Seems odd to me. . .
