I Finished The Game!

[Post New]by scotcat on Jun 20, 08 9:13 PM
Yeah, I did it. I only had hubby help me on 3 mini games. Two of them I could have done eventually, but I am impatient. One of the games..... no way Jose. I would still be there until the tips & tricks / walkthrough is listed somewhere.

I don't know exactly how long it took me, but I would say around 8 - 10 hours. Maybe shorter, I dunno.... was having too much fun to pay attention. I think it's a shorter game then Madame Fate, but some of the puzzles are a lot harder.

Have fun!

Thank you bfgAegean & Edna. I have already started on my 2nd go-round. I want to beat my last score and, well, it's a fun game to play.

I got to diary entry # 24 in 4 hours, but I took a break and fed all the cats (remember, I have 19 of them). There are 40 entries (or levels) with a final one at the end. My score so far is 162179. Huzzah!

As far as penalties, here's what happened to me (I was paying attention this time). A few random clicks = 0, using 1 hint per round = 0, using 1 silhouette = -100, time spent did not seem to mater. So, for me it was cheaper to just use a hint then take a lookie-loo at the silhouette.

Some of the objects to find change when you start another game. I used a different name.

Oh, and Gina..... game on girl!! I got to the monkey puzzle and hubby was asleep. I did the first 2 games in about 5 minutes each. The 3rd game with 2 lines in it took me around 30 minutes, but "I" did it! Yeah, go me. I am going to try to do all the puzzles myself this time. It's more satisfying that way.

PS - I need a life............

Hey rhonayotte,

It's kinda long to explain. I believe there are 1 or 2 threads in the HE Amazon Forum that might help you. Many of the puzzles in this game are hard to explain or take a lot of writing to do so. Some games are different for each player (like the monkey puzzle with the colored objects). I am not very good at explaining things in writing. If I was there with you, I could show you with no problems.

Good luck!

Were you feeding those monkeys again, scotcat? They were set to "attack mode" on me, I had to laugh at some of the journal entries saying that the monkeys were hounding him, watching his every move, stealing his food - that's EXACTLY what I felt like! They were even haunting my dreams last night! Demons! Like you, I need a life too. + =

Hey Scotcat, congrats on finish. I finished today. Had trouble with a couple puzzles but couldn't get into forums until after 3:30 pm so just persisted and got them all by myself ... yea me!!! LOL Only had to hint my way through one puzzle. It was the one with the stones with patterns on the top and you put them on this chinese checkers kind of board and had to match musical tones. I did the first two -- with luck and persistence. But, just could not get the musical tone one. Got a -4000 penalty for using hints to solve that one puzzle but at least I could continue.
I am also going to replay but will see if I can use my same name. See if I can better my score and rank.
Happy Gaming.

I am SAVORING this one!!!!!

Just play a little each day to make it last longer. I don't think the puzzles are as hard as Madame Fate, at least these make a little sense to me!

I agree LisaB. There are a few puzzles in Amazon that are hard but usually felt I knew what had to be done. In Madame Fate, I struggled to understand what to do; i.e, the couple throwing items that you had to catch on the tongue. I only had to hint my way through one puzzle, the musical stone one, in Amazon. Since I couldn't get into forums until after I finished the game, I feel pretty good about that.
Have fun on the journey Lisa, this is a terrific game.

Congrats cesse! What was your final score? I just finished the game for the 2nd time. My new score is 245271 and I am in 2nd place on my scoreboard. I wonder if I could ever get to first since I only had 100 penalty points. I have never used a hint during the mini puzzles.... mostly because I forgot that you could use them as most games don't give hints during the puzzle part.

I did do ALL the puzzles myself.... well, except the very last round wheel with the red lights. I had hubby explain it to me because I could not understand what they wanted or how to calculate things to even figure it out on my own. But as he was explaining it, I told him which stones to put where and bingo!, it was done.

Are you talking about the last big puzzle with 3 round wheels? I didn't even know there was a musical tone going on. The 2nd wheel was matching colored circles all in rows and the 3rd was matching red circles in pairs of two until the whole board lit up with red circles. I don't think the musical tones had any meaning.... did they??

Hey scotcat congrats, what a great score. I finished game 1 with 199127. Hope to improve with game 2. The one you had your husband explain is the one I could not get and sure spent tons of time trying to do so LOL. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I thought the Madame Fate games were fairly easy to figure out. Maybe it's because I am a right brain person and my left brain is almost dead. The only game I still can't do on Madame Fate is the color wheel that looks like the "Simon Says" type of game. I did finish it once by shear luck. When it comes to a lot of colors that move around.... my brain just won't accept it for some reason.

The only game on Amazon that had me totally baffled was the last wheel with the red dots. Again, more flashing colors that move around..... my brain wires did not want to connect.

FIRST - Sit back and look at the board & what happens with the red dots when the line of light goes under each socket. What "pattern" do you see for each socket? Find the ball that compliments the way the wheel lights up when ball place in that slot. Example: the first slot on the left has the light bar illuminated and the out side circle of lights are all lighting up on the left hand side of the wheel and then lights up on the right hand side of the wheel. Now find the ball and place it in the first slot on the left that lights up the inside circle on the wheel at the same time the outside is lit. Now move to the 2nd slot and do the same thing and so forth. I hope this helps. There will be an ever changing of patterns every time you start this game. The combinations are endless!

Hey Scotcat. Finished game 2 with 241996. I used hints for the first two stones in the 3rd circle and got a -300 penalty ... but still took me quite a while to solve the last two stones. Enjoyed game 2 almost as much as the first time through.

Thanks Scotcat. I thought about it, hummmmmm. But, think I'll take a break for a few days before I do. Come at it fresh. I'm really glad the items are random generated so they're different during replay; that keeps it interesting. Are you playing game 3 now ... or, after a breather?
