overwrite high score

I am pretty frustrated with this game . when I leave the game for a break, the question is asked do you want to overwrite and lose your high score...NO isnt there any way to continue without starting over as i have 4 times?

Did you try starting with a new player name?

I had this same thing happen to me...on level 50 of all things! Just recently purchased this game...it's really a great game except for that glitch...have you found any solution to this?? Starting with a new name as was suggested only gets you a new game...also when the game re-started I couldn't get the tower to recognize the clock codes...kept saying I had used those codes & to check with the next scroll for "new" codes....very frustrating.

Did you try deleting all previous players b4 starting on the new one? I don't know if you can do that in this game, given I've only done the trial, but that might help with the clock code issue. Tell me if that works.

After a lengthy discussion with BFG the suggestion was to delete & re-install the game..which I did. When I used my name from the 1st. install I found myself back @ the same spot I had re-started previously..where it kept telling me I had already used those codes for the tower..so..I put in a new name & the game went thru to the end without a hitch!! Got to save Venice & had fireworks for a reward...tough game..but love it! Got to a score of 1,111,598 when I wiped out & had to start score over...went to see what would happen if I tried a new game with the same name & there it wants to know if I want to override my previous high score..my guess is the game didn't install properly the 1st. go round & when I got to level 51 it took it to be the end of the game & wanted me to override my score & start over..mind only a guess on my part, but hope it helps someone.

I know your frustration. Tech support just ignored my question about this problem. I have played this game many, many times and have found the only way to solve this problem is that you have to quit the game at the beginning or during a puzzle. You cannot quit in between. I hope this makes sense. I have not encountered this problem since I figured this out.
