Ok, what is the difference between the horn of plenty and the scales?

I wish they had these things differentiated in the help section.

The Horn of Plenty doubles the production of your farms, quarries and groves.

The Scales of Sufficiency doubles the amount of wood you get for each trade at the market.

Also -- you don't have to "collect" either one until you need it. For instance, when the horn of plenty pops up from an opened chest or after paying a bandit, don't touch it until your farms/quarries/groves actually start producing. Just let it hang there until needed. Same with the scales; don't collect it until you go to the market. If you replay the level a few times, you'll find out the best time to use either one. This is the key to getting gold on many levels.

Same rule applies to the 'speedy sandals' -- wait until you need them & then activate -- many times you may open several chests with same reward item so you can let these sit until the previous one you activated expires & this really can help with finishing with time to spare instead of feeling like you're on a 'clickity' mission!

so what does the 'Bowl of Fruit' or fruit cup do?

Hi - I think it's the "Cornucopia" you're talking about and I think it give you +100 of each resource.
