WATER PIPES AND HANDLE...

I'M STUCK ON THE LEVEL WHERE YOU PIECE TOGETHER THE WATER PIPES....I COMPLETED THAT PART, BUT...I CAN'T SEE WHERE THE NEXT MOVE IS TO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL.....I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE HANDLE....PLEASE HELP

Pword, since it is in your inventory, you need to use it someplace where your cursor turns blue. Check each scene showing on your map. Run you cursor over the screen to see where it turns blue. Hope that helps. Good Luck.

WE TRIED THAT...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TURNED BLUE....WE REVISITED THE OTHER SCENES AND THE HANDLE IS NOT ALLOWED OUT OF THE INVENTORY BOX

I was able to connect the pipes and got the handle. When I went back to put the handle where it belongs, the handle came out of my inventory and is now above the list box and I can't do anything with it. It looks like it is floating in the lava. Help!!!

I'm stuck in the same spot. The handle will not stay in the inventory - it just floats above the box. I know where the handle needs to go, I just can't get it there!

I am having the same problem as others - I did the pipes, got the handle, know where it is supposed to go, but it doesn't stay in inventory, just floats above it so that you can't select it. Anyone have a solution for this problem??

There is a small water pump in one of the scenes that needs a handle. I believe it does turn blue.

I am not sure what to tell you since I have played this game twice and never experienced this. Maybe exit the game completely and go back in a bit later and try again???

Question for bfgAegean, bfgFlounder, or bfgErie: would the "floating" inventory item be fixed if the game was deleted and re-downloaded? Would progress in the game be lost? I know with Madame Fate if the game was deleted and re-downloaded, progress was saved (except for the puzzle not completed) and that solved a couple of glitchy problems for folks.

I too am having this problem. I get the pump handle in the pipes screen, and it just floats above the inventory box. That screen is the only screen I can actually click on the handle. If I go to the map where I need to use it, it just floats and I can't grab it or do anything further in the game.

This is very disappointing, is there a patch available for this issue that anyone knows about?

Well...I got around this and not be re-installing (which I did to no avail). I had to restart the level THREE times. The first two times, once I completed the pipes the whole game froze and I had to ctrl+alt+delete to get out of there. Third time I finally go the pump handle and was able to go to the map right away and put it on the pump.

I didn't waste time going through all the map levels, I was too desparate to hang onto the handle and not have it float aimlessly above the inventory box.

Bigfish should really look into this bug because it's not just unpleasant it prevents you from continuing on with the game.

I am also having trouble in this spot. The water pump handle was floating above the inventory box and I couldn't get it to go where it needed to go. Now, I've just redone the level for the second time, and the water pump handle has disappeared! I don't know where to find it again and I read that someone had to do this level 3 times before it worked - did you experience any of these problems? I've had numerous problems throughout the game, not opening up properly, script error messages, the "white screen" ... I've deleted and dowloaded this game so many times, and it seems that something crops up ... I guess we are all getting the kinks out??

Anyway, I've read your posts in here with interest and just thought I'd add my comments because I was feeling really (really) alone until I came in here!!

If anyone has a solution (or quick fix) it would be wonderful if you'd share with everyone.

I'm really not sure if this is the right thread but I see nothing closer...please relocate this if necessary!

Is this the puzzle with the pipe pieces in the upper left corner and the slide-able pipes on the main board, with a steam whistle involved?

That's the one I'm having problems with. All my pipe pieces are shaped like an "L" and I have connected as many of them to the middle pipes as will fit anywhere (with the middle pipes in various configurations). Is there a way to rotate the pieces? I tried right-clicking a la jigsaw-style puzzle pieces in other games, but that didn't work. I tried laying one "L" next to another, already-connected "L" to see if the piece would self-rotate, but it didn't. I have a mortified feeling I'm jmissing something obvious to rotate the pieces, and will be properly embarrassed if someone can help me out

OOPS! ....never mind, I found the right thread. And the answer. And I'm embarrassed.

I finished the game and now I'm going through it a second time. This same thing happened to me. When I got the handle it floated above the inventory box and I couldn't get it. I decided to try and replay the scenes. That worked for me. The handle stayed in the box and I was able to attach it to the water pump ... try running your cursor over that scene again because the pump is not where you would expect it. Hope you can get that glitch out. It can be frustrating!

I had read somewhere from a post (can't remember if in this one or another one), but that post said that he/she went through the level 3 times before it worked. I redid the whole level 3 times and on the third time everything fell together like it "should". I have since finished the game (YEA!) and am on my second go round! This is an excellent game ... what are they going to do to top this one?!!
