Study in Vampire Castle

On the desk there is an puzzle which is a frame that you must put in 2 symbols.
I have the strategy guide to that answer for the problem and have put in the 2 symbols that it shows but it is still not opening so i'm stuck and can not go any further.
Please Help

Hi.... I had the same problem.... but it turned out I had them around the wrong way. I thought the order I found them in meant which one went on top

Try swapping them around... If that doesn't work check out the Walkthrough...
