Can anyone help me?? I have just changed computers to a new (Vista) one with Norton as protection and the last 4 games I have bought has run fine and then all of a sudden I cannot launch/start them. My old pc ran everything fine (XP and Symetec)

The icons are still on my desktop, the games are still in the programme files but have gone from the 'play my games' window.... I cannot get the games to launch via desktop icons or through the programme files. Is this something to do with norton?? (hate norton!)

I did contact support and they wanted me to start downloading all sorts of investicative software which I'm not too keen on!!

I don't want to re-install one of the games as I've already downloaded it twice and it took over 2 hours...... :-(

I know that BF has had me download lots of different software when I have had problems before, like updates to my drivers or installing active x and so on, and I have pretty good virus protection (avast), and I have not had any problems with the games or my computer. I would try what CS suggests. You can always uninstall it later on if you not happy with it. BF CS has never steered me wrong with what they have had me do, so I can't tell you what to do, but I do trust them. I know this is not helping you right now, but......they are really right up there in my book as far as trustworthiness goes.

Hello Sillymaja, hopefully by the time you've read this, ya have all ur problems fixed! I know I hate to uninstall/reinstall games (dial up here) but sometimes my games won't even play going through BF's Game Manager Box so I just go to the games folder and right click on it so it'll open and then I click on the game and wa-la, I can play it! I always have 2 folders, one that has a picture of the game and one that looks like a folder, click on the one that looks like a folder and see if you can play the game that way. (I ended up having to make myself a folder on my desktop to hold the games that won't play thru the Game Manager + some others) I've even had game disappear from BF Game Manager Box! LOL No biggie, as long as I can still play them.

It doesn't matter what I click - the games are there but just won't load/launch/start up. Have contacted support - guess I'll just have to wait until it's sorted :-(

sillymaja, I have Vista and recently updated my Firefox browser. I found a few of my games would not launch after that. So, I right clicked on the game launcher and chose "Run as Administrator" and it worked.
...Do try the things that Tech Support suggests ... they are terrific and will do everything they can to help you. Good Luck

Hi Cesse47 - thanks for that... where is the 'game launcher'?? I've right clicked on the icon on my desktop and in the programme list and can't find the 'run as admin'... Thanks :-)

Ok, just found the 'launcher'... is it the 'play my games' icon... did that with the 'run as admin' but nothing happened as the games are not on the list in 'my games'... it is empty as the games have vanished .... grrrrr lol!

I have Vista Home Premium SP1 (Service Pack One) - according to Windows Senior Techs (highest level you can get to before they will refund your money or send new puter) Nortons is NOT compatible with Windows ...so my question to them was "then why do you bundle it". I would take the others advice and contact Big Fish Customer support - they are FANTASTIC and *will* help you with this fix. And others are correct - Avast is a free firewall - kinda DOS based look that hasnt changed since the 80`s (the look not the updates lol). I use AVG as my firewall and Malwarebytes !
First things first - contact Big Fish - I promise they will fix this for you fast and easy peasy!

Or ...you can always try prayer ...but I don't believe computers to have much interaction with God
Only the person using it ! just joking there - Big Fish Customer Support is the way to get the job done and if you haven't fallen in love with them by now - you will after they have replied !!


Did you know you can reinstall your games from the Big Fish site if they aren't showing up on your game manager?
