Oh no! Antique Road Trip Series has been ruined by making it a Free to Play!!! Why did this have to happen?? I find this game extremely confusing, too busy and not at all fun to play, definitely not for me ....If this is the way it's going to be, bringing out perfectly wonderful series and making them Free to Play, that is a real shame ...The graphics are good but no longer fun to play...Sorry....I know some fishies will like this but alot won't.....So sad.....

I heard there was a new Antique Road Trip game coming out, but I never thought it'd be a free-to-play game!

- Graphics are good. Objects are clear and aren't tiny like many free-to-play (F2P) games.
- The hidden object scenes are super repetitive, though. I've found the same items over and over again. They never seem to change. Sometimes what customers ask for change, but the items are in the same spots as before.
- You can kind of level up the H0 scenes, and then new styles of play (like silhouette mode) open up.
- The little dog is back, and you can buy it accessories.
- Music is OK.
- There's actually somewhat of a story, and characters "talk" to you when asking for something.
- Like most F2P games, this one works with quests. Someone asks you to find or do something, you finish that quest, and move on to the next.
- There's an energy bar that limits how much you can play at a time (unless you want to pay for energy with real money). Food (purchased with gold) for energy is kind of expensive.
- During the game, you earn experience points, which lets you level up and makes your energy bar hold more.
- Upgrading your shop is very, very slow. Choices for furniture, etc. are only unlocked after you hit certain levels or do other tasks.
- Different stores in town have different mini-games or tasks you can do there.

Tip for early game play: Don't use any gold! The game starts with you having a small amount of gold. The early quests require you to purchase things with gold. The reward for these quests basically returns the gold to you, but if you use it before these quests, you might get stuck unless you buy more gold.

For a F2P game, it isn't terrible. I just wish it was a regular game where I could play as much as I wanted in one sitting without having to pay for energy or wait around for it to reload.

I had enjoyed the other Antique Road Trip games but this one is awful! too busy, too complicated and illogical. You would have to pay me to play this one!

I'm enjoying this game, played for a couple of days, on level 9 now. Wish the energy refilled as fast as other FTP games. Farm Up & Found only take 3 minutes for an energy point. Since this game takes 5 minutes, I get to play for less time. I wish there was something similar to the blue jars in Farm Up! Otherwise, fun & interesting. I like the different types of mini games.

I thought I would like this one, based on the download games of this series, but I didn't.

Maybe I was having a hypersensitive day, but I abhorred the blinking light in the Nevada mine, and the music quality wasn't making nice with my ears. These things made me delete this game.

I also was trying to figure out how to get inside the store from the outside view, with no luck, except when a goal took me there.

Many people say it is confusing, but I kind of like it and am looking forward for new tasks things to happen next.
I like things are happening with all free to play games. Some are not doing well, but some are working. I hope this will work.

Just one thing I didn't like. Please do not force me to communicate with co-payers.
What should I say on my first message, other than hi? I am a woman who plays game and you?

This is not a SNS. If I want to play some online game, I will pay other online games.

"free to play" = oxymoron!

I wish we could just be the game outright. You end up spending way more then $6.99 when you play these type of games. I've enjoyed the previous games in this series; however I won't even bother to download this one. I'm not a fan of free to play games. If I want to play these types of games I'll find one on Facebook.

Why is todays new release also TGT? I haven't purchased a game from Big Fish in along time. I know my game credits are piling up.

Here's my review and my two cents.

I like how busy this game is. I've been playing it for days (it sure didn't come out today). Anyway you can play a good bit before running out of energy etc and there is a lot going on to take care of. I think it's better than any I have played on a social network.

Now in my opinion, this has no business being a TGT. Big Fish needs to recreate another tab option at the top or release this as a soft release on a day with a new game (not a SE of a CE) and perhaps more people would be more willing to try this. I have to agree with the lady talking about her credits piling up. This shouldn't be a TGT and Big Fish can advertise but enough of trying to shove this down people's throats. They are not taking it well.

Amen! The reason I play Big Fish free-to-plays rather than Facebook is because I don't want to rely on other people to progress. I like games that are solo experiences. I suppose I will just stick with Found and Farm Up.

I, too, am unhappy to see that we have ANOTHER Free To Play (FTP) game offered as TGT.

BFG is doing this more and more frequently and it gives less new game options for those of us who prefer to purchase traditional PC games or use game credits for them.

It appears that many people like the FTP games, and they most likely are disappointed when the traditional PC games are offered as TGT or the Daily Deal.

So I wish Big Fish would consider having a separate page for the FTP games and keep the traditional PC game page exclusively for the traditional PC games. It would seem that this change would make both of these groups happy. Those who like both types of games could check out both pages for games... or the page that offers the type of game they are "in the mood for" on any given day.

Just saying...

I am agreeing again, it has no right being a TGT. I think this is a terrible thing to do to loyal members. But, the thread will be closed once more, we are not allowed to say it.

Amen.
I wonder how many people are like me, who have spent a small fortune buying games here and now see this "new" category of these "free" to play games and wonder why all our data, info, playing habits, buying, installing and feedback weren't enough data mining for BF. After that who deal where we had "Casino" forced on us, I have had an attitude about these new games and yes they ought to go in their own section. I tried this game just to see if I was wrong and agree with those reviews who found it confusing, slow and not fun. I see you can buy gold for real money, but I spend twice that on a CE game if a good one comes out. I love games like Farmscapes or Mansionscapes and hoped this would be similar, but it ain't.

So who does what I do...sign on, can't wait to see the game for today, see stuff like this, shut the site down, don't look around, don't even care. I have a ton of PCC, meaning I spent a lot of real money here, and I kind of resent the time and energy can go into making "free" games instead of getting back to the business of making games for us to download. I have enough data miners on my comp, and am sure not spending $ just to continue to play a game. This isn't Facebook, BF. Really.

What is with this "pay as you play" games? I loved the first two Antique Road Trips, but when I see the "buy more" on the left side of the screen, I don't even bother to download it and try it. I see now why it is play for free.....I have spent a great deal on games in the past, but lately, with the huge file and pay as you go and play on the internet games, I don't purchase much. Hey, BF, ever heard the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Caseymom here, here! Couldn't have said it better myself! Totally agree with you! A big thumbs down on these FTP games...There really isn't much anymore besides CE's and SE's of CE's...what are we supposed to do with our credits? I used to love Antique Road Trip, was excited to see it...until I saw that it was turned into FTP...Caseymom is right...why try to fix something that is not broken? Heavy sigh....

I think I would actually rather pay real money and have a regular game than try to play for free like it is now. I have the first two and like them. I won't be downloading this one.

no offense BF, but this game is a real disaster. i couldn't get anything to work or else i didn't do it the correct way. not only that, trying to exit the game was a nightmare! i could not find anything that would shut it down for me. i had to eventually reboot my computer. please, no more of these games!
