getting the record

Late in the game, in the dream section, you are supposed to put a note on the wall
under the manhole where the kid is sleeping and you've done some business earlier.I think it's how you get a record to play on the victrola you assemble to get the green puzzle parts you need to finish a sequence. Anybody have any ideas about the note?

The note is in a locked box in the bedroom where nanny is sleeping. You need to put a bird on the box to open it.
